Cozy, good service, and tasty food everytime.
Chicken Cordon Blue
Very fast and attentive service. Had the duck it came out very quickly and was top notch. Followed up with chocolate bourbon pecan pie.
Prices were a little on the high side but so is everything nowadays

this place is horrible. I made reservations one week prior. we had a party of 6. we were the only ones in the place. we asked to sit outside but they refused to put 2 tables together! then when I walked in to see what the restaurant looked like inside, the owner was so rude!!! again, nobody was there! the bartender was miserable! I am not sure what was going on but the vibe was awful! my daughter then realized they didn't have a lunch menu so we decided to let them know we were not staying. plus, why would we. they were rude. the bartender then said to my husband, "then put the two tables back where they were" not our job! we were shocked. please don't waste your time! if they were busy, I could see it being a bit short but they were horrible. I hope they read this.

We found this place last minute while visiting the area through google and reviews we read. What a pleasant place. Very cozy and quaint. We literally got the last parking spot. They seemed to have been understaffed this night so we waited a little bit and sat at the bar for dinner. The food did not disappoint it was delicious. The staff was very pleasant. Great way to end our day.

The food and service was good, but with the low ceiling we really were deafened by the time we left the restaurant .

We had the worst experience at the Red Rooster last night, for what was supposed to have been a wonderful birthday celebration. We have dined here for MANY years and have always loved it, however last night was a disgrace on many levels. Our waitress was lovely, but completely overworked…handling too many tables, which compromised our service greatly. The food was honestly terrible. My rack of lamb, that I ordered medium rare, came medium well and was quite dry, with sides I did not ask for. It was honestly the WORST lamb I’ve ever had. The sauce on the duck was absolutely incongruent to the flavors of duck. Terrible combination. And all dishes were over salted. When we weren’t getting our table cleared for quite a long time, we had to go to the bar to ask for our check. Then when no one came to get payment we went up to the bar again to pay and pick up the cake we had decided to bring home instead of celebrating there. The owner saw this and couldn’t have cared less….which was rather off putting. We shared other issues with our meal and were stunned by her attitude. She was unapologetic and dismissive. Stupidly on her part, it could have all ended on a positive note, if she had simply been gracious but instead, she doubled down, taking NO responsibility and it escalated to an ugly level. Such a disgrace that business owners could behave as they had.. especially when the meal and service was truly bad that evening. So that was it….the very last time any of us will ever eat there again. I recommend you save your money…there are many FAR BETTER restaurants on the North Fork…that have respectful owners who actually care about their customers’ experience, have talented chefs, and actually want to have customers walk away happy.

Great food, great service and fair prices. The appetizers and meals are cooked perfectly and the portions are generous. Very friendly staff and the business is run by family that all work there.
