Pesto Pizza Genovese
Our Pesto –traditionally known as "pesto alla Genovese"-is one of the most popular sauces originating in the Italian region of ligurian. The original pesto is a thick, cold sauce made from crushed garlic, hard cheese (such as parmesan cheese), and basil leaves; enriched with European pine nuts, coarse salt, and extra virgin olive oil. It packs a nice garlicky punch and a rich grossness.
White Pizza (Pizza Bianca) with garlic
If you're not familiar with a Grimaldi White pizza, it's a pizza made without tomato or marinara sauce, and topped with white cheeses, olive oil and minced garlic. Mix together ricotta, salt, pepper, and herbs and spread mixture into a thin layer across the pizza. Layer with thin slices of fresh mozzarella, and a sprinkle of half the pecorino cheese. Exceptional staff!!! food is amazing accommodating even after having a party of 70 they were more than willing to serve us a five out of five. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday 12 to 10 love the cobra oven pizza and the Gramaldi house salad. They added new specialties to the Menu a special thanks to the servers Rose and Vinnie for the amazing service. Thank you

I somehow didn't get any photos from this visit even though I shot video. Came to this Grimaldi's location before going to a Mets game with some friends. I had been to the original in the past as well as a location in El Paso, Texas so I knew a general idea of what to expect. I enjoy a Grimaldi's pie as a nostalgic thing and as a solid pizza, but past that it is pretty middle of the road compared to some of the great pizza places in NYC. When you get a pie like...
