Always my favorite spot of late night dinners. Always clean and attentive to my dietary needs.

We’re regular customers at Oak Stave and always enjoy our visits. The location is great, and the spacious bar creates a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Bartenders Brandi and Lena make some of the best martinis around, and the happy hour drink specials are an excellent value. The food is consistently good, and it’s always a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and have a good time. Highly recommend!

The fish & chips are top tier. My husband enjoyed the truffle fries and our son had a great time with their cheese flatbread. Portions were great. Great for the whole family.

I’ll start with the positives from our visit. The food was very good, everything came out in a timely manner, and the happy hour specials offered great value. The atmosphere in the restaurant is welcoming and clean. They also have a great bar selection. We’ve dined here on multiple occasions because of these reasons. However, the service from Brandi this visit was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

When we first arrived, we were seated in the dining area and our server was friendly and welcoming. After looking at the menu, we realized the happy hour specials were only available at the bar, so we asked to move. The restaurant was very quiet at the time, with only about six customers total.

Unfortunately, our experience changed completely once we sat at the bar and were served by Brandi. She was rude, dismissive, unhelpful, and unprofessional throughout the entire interaction. She never smiled once and seemed annoyed that we were there.

When we attempted to order, she repeatedly cut us off and took our menus before we had finished ordering. We had to get her attention again to place the rest of our order, and she interrupted us a second time. We then had to ask her yet again to add an entrée, at which point I informed her of my dairy allergy. She walked away without acknowledging me and then loudly told the kitchen, within earshot, “She wants no cheese on that—sorry, she just told me.”

Later, when she checked on us, we said, “I think we’re all set with food for now.” Her response was, “Yeah, well, you got a lot of food. Like, a lot.” For reference, two people ordered three happy hour items and one entrée to share. We finished everything.

The most insulting interaction came when she brought out our wings and made a point of telling me that the blue cheese contained dairy because “the kitchen wanted me to let you know.” As someone with a dairy allergy, I am fully aware that blue cheese contains dairy. The comment felt condescending and made me feel like my allergy was a burden rather than a routine dietary accommodation.

It’s unfortunate because the food was genuinely good, but customer service can make or break a dining experience. Based on our interaction with Brandi, I would hesitate to return. I hope customer service standards improve, because the experience we had was disappointing and overshadowed what otherwise could have been a great visit.

First time dining for dinner and the service was friendly. The music was way too loud but nice vibe. The burger was average so I would not rush to go back.

Atmosphere and staff were over the top incredible!!! We have lived here for a couple years. We love coming here 3-4 times a month. My only complaint is the blue cheese dressing. First time I was here I was obsessed with the blue cheese dressing! Best I've ever had...my mother's was always the best until I had Oak Stave's! It's not the same anymore and that's very disappointing. This kind of establishment needs to bring back the original blue cheese. This is Buffalo! Wings and blue cheese rule!

Great experience here. The whiskey and bourbon selection was deep, the food was delicious, and the service was awesome. Brandi took great care of my friends at the bar.

I ordered the Chicken Milanese which was served cold and dried out. The breading was blackened and closer to being burnt (not golden brown as it should have been). The chicken was extremely thin as it should be but it was totally dried out. Was like eating a thick piece of cardboard. My total meal came to $68 which included the Milanese, 3 drinks and soup. I was with a group of people, the server stood on one side of the table asking how the meal was but never came over to my side when the others gave negative meal comments. If I wasn't with a group, I would have sent the meal back.

My husband and I ate here recently and it was a disaster. My French onion soup had two random French fries - which - I might add should not be in the soup - turned me off immediately. When mentioning it the waiter - he thought it was amusing. My husband finished it but I believed I should not have been charged for it.
My steak - ordered rare - was a light pink, dry and not worth the $40+ price tag. I declined to eat or get a replacement. It took over an hour to get served as it was.
My companions did not seem to enjoy their meal. My husband’s had a crispy, overcooked, breaded chicken piece that I would not serve my dog. It’s pretty clear that the focus of the restaurant - cheap alcohol (other than wine) and bad food. Our meal topped $68 for 3 drinks, one meal and soup. Decide for yourself if you want to chance eating there.
