I stopped by to purchase a birthday cake for my husband. Got Red Velvet. It looked pretty, but tasted just a little bit dry (it stayed in our fridge two days until we cut it though). The cream was okay, but I prefer milkier cream cheesier version. I anticipated the best Red Velvet cake and it was not. Since I was inside I could not resist a pastry. Chose a lemon tart. The prices have gone up and some of the products have gotten smaller or worse. Don't get the to go coffee, cup and lid don't fit right. At first I thought it might have been me, but the coffee aficionado next to me concurred and was having the same problem. For the price of $4.80 for 16 oz., at least get decent cup with well fitted lids. Luckily the coffee was tepid warm otherwise it could have resulted in a McDonald's lawsuit. We had palmiers, an apple tart that was rolled up, and an apricot filled triangle.
In each case, the millefeuille pastry was phenomenal. It shattered as you bit into it. Not at all stodgy or dense. The perfect level of caramelization.
I would drive 50 miles out of my way to have it again!
