Fantastic pizza joint in the East Greenbush area. Owners are very polite. This place has been around for years and always provides great food and service.

I went here on a blind date. First of all let me say the employees and owners are the nicest people(I don't know them personally.) We ordered pizza and it was delicious! It was exactly what you hope you'd get at a family owned Italian restaurant! I can't wait to go back and try something else on their large menu! Only negative was that it's hard to find at night!

Can't say anything about the food as we couldn't even sit in this establishment as the mildew & musty smell were horrific!! Explains why on a Saturday night at approximately 8pm is was 99.9% empty! My recommendation - stay away!

It's getting old, it's a little dated, and it's not a popular hot spot. However, it is clean, the food is fantastic, the service is very good, and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the food quality. My wife and i absolutely LOVE to go there for a mid-week date night. The ambience may be a little dated, but it's still very charming and there are several nice intimate nooks for us to enjoy our meals.

This is a nice local place to get a good meal. I feel like everything is made with love here. They are still open, even though they have a for sale/ lease sign out front.

I had two recommendations to this restaurant. First was that it had great pizza. I don't know. Didn't have the pizza, but the bread wasn't exciting. The atmosphere is pizza joint turns cafe. We sat in a section that had one other table across the way. Incredibly, the owner put a couple next to us and across from the occupied table. They ended up having a loud self taken and obnoxious homecoming shout fest and we got up and moved to the next dining room with the normal people. It didn't seem to be a problem to the owner. It was a big problem to us. The food was unremarkable. Truly. It was worth paying for, but flabby and undistinguished. The deserts were good, but a bit pricy and the portions were large. Frankly, not worth the $70 tab in my opinion. When there are remarkable places to be found, this isn't my place to go.

I've been meaning to have dinner at Rose's Italian Restaurant in Schodack for quite some time. I've heard great things about their fettuccine alfredo, so I decided to stop in for dinner very recently. The parking lot in the back of the restaurant, one way clockwise circulation. Enter the restaurant in the back. The place was very quiet around 5PM when I arrived for dinner. This casual restaurant has two dining areas, the main portion with hardwood floors has tables for families and groups and the front dining area with brick floors and high ceiling has smaller tables with candles for couples. Framed art and indoor plants adorn the place. Since I was solo, I was seated in the front dining area near a screen door. The atmosphere has the feel of dining at someone's home. Holiday music was playing through the speakers. The menu (dine-in or takeout) offers Italian dishes including pasta dinners, baked pasta, veal, chicken, seafood, pizza, calzones, appetizers, and homemade desserts (biscuit tortoni, crepe n cream, & cannolis). The prices are fair, dinner entrees (served with salad & bread) range $9.95-$20.95. Beer, wine, and cocktails served here. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo a la Rose's ($12.95) since it's "best in the western hemisphere" according to the menu. The side salad served in a small wood bowl was very basic and the Italian bread with butter was served cold. The entree took about 20 minutes to be ready after ordering. The Fettuccine Alfredo a la Rose's was a modest portion, which had a creamy cheese sauce topped with broccoli, fresh tomato, and black olives served over very firm fettuccine. The dish itself was okay to me, not the best I've had. The fettuccine noodles were al dente to chewy and could've used another 2 minutes of boiling. The alfredo cheese sauce was really good and creamy and not too rich. The topped vegetables were on the cool side. That was enough for me and I passed on dessert. The service was acceptable. I was all set and I was checked on only when finished with each course. A couple customers arrived here, but for takeout only. Overall, it was a decent quiet dinner.
