We came here a couple weeks ago while on vacation. First, keep in mind that despite the menu and prices, this is not a fancy place and most of their utensils and plates are of the disposable variety. We're from Maryland, so we don't care as we have places like this everywhere, but others might. The food was pretty good. New England Clam Chowder was excellent, but I didn't like the stuffed clams at all. Nice portion, but all I could taste was herbs, and not a blend I cared for. Hot lobster roll was pretty good although I wish a little more had been done with the bun itself. My husband enjoyed the swordfish special. Service was fine.
We didn't stay for dessert as we were too eager to leave by that time. The actual inside dining area is small, and there were several large groups with small children, one of which was sitting within inches of myself. Let this be a lesson to us to sit in the bar if we ever go back, lol.
The food was delicious - freshly made and served quickly. The staff is friendly, polite and attentive.

Authentic chowder, delicious fried oysters and fish tacos, and refreshing drinks. Eating outside in October was special!

By way of background, we have eaten at Bsotwick's many times in the past but this was the first time this year. We were shocked at how much it has changed for the worse and is now a poor value. Our fish sandwiches had one fish filet that barely covered a standard sized hamburger bun and was as thin as a floor tile. The kitchen tried to fix by serving enough fries for 2 people. It was a poor value for $18 at lunch. Service was ok and food came out promptly. Clearly Bostwicks is trading on their reputation. We won't be back anytime soon.
Love the chowder. Went on a cold, rainy October day and it perfectly hit the spot. The hot buttered lobster roll was equally excellent.

Busy local hot spot we checked out while on vacation in montauk. — and it was absolutely worth the wait! They don’t take reservations, but the friendly host and attentive waitstaff made the experience enjoyable from start to finish.
We started with the lobster fritters, which were perfectly crisp and tasted incredibly fresh. For our main courses, we had the fish & chips made with locally sourced fish from Block Island, and the seafood pasta — which was amazing. It was loaded with generous pieces of lobster, scallops, and shrimp throughout (not just sprinkled on top!).
To finish, we shared the homemade chocolate peanut butter pie, the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal.

This was our first visit to Bostwick's Chowder House. My favorite soup is lobster bisque. I asked the waiter about the lobster bisque. He said, they make it"in house"- and that I would not be disappointed. Well... I wasn't! I can say positively that the LB at Bostwick's was the best I ever had. I got the LB- as a bread bowl. So creamy- and filled with pieces of lobter meat. Wow!! It also came with an excellent Caesar salad. My wife had the crab cake sandwich- which she said was awesome!! Since we were driving to a hotel in Montauk- we decided to get a New England clam chowder to go. That was also delicious. On the way home from Montauk, we stopped in to get a LB to go. The same waiter was at the take out area- and I said I wanted to get some soup. He didn't recognize me- and we both laughed. They are always so busy. When he came back with the soup- he said- this one is on me. I was so shocked and very appreciative. They have a customer for life!! Go!!!
Best lobster rolls in the Hamptons!!! With a lot of lobster meat🤩. I really recommend, prepare to wait at lunch the weekend. Their other restaurant on the Harbor is great too with a great view!
