Overpriced and was treated poorly by the old lady that looked like she was the manager or the owner. Matcha latte was literally just milk with green dye.

The food at Carissa’s is absolutely spectacular — some of the best in the Hamptons. But the cashier consistently ruins the experience. He avoids eye contact, seems bothered by even basic questions, and treats you like you’re wasting his time. Honestly, he might be better suited for the local grocery store than working the counter at a café where hospitality matters. I’ve been several times and it’s always the same. Such a shame, because everything else about this place is truly great

We came for breakfast and while the food was average, there seems to be a common theme on the service in these reviews. We dined in and after receiving our food, we still hadn’t received our coffee order. We were almost finished with our food and since the coffee still hadn’t come, we asked the server if they could bring it in a to-go cup so we wouldn’t have to finish it at the table. He said fine, and all was good.

Fast forward another 10 minutes and we still hadn’t received the coffee, so I went to the counter to check on it. I spoke to someone who told me that we placed our order as a takeout order and they put our coffee at the takeout window. That wasn’t correct, we were dining in and simply asked for the drink in a to-go container since we were almost finished with our food. It would have been nice if we were told that it would be sitting there. When I went to get it at the window, the same woman who I spoke to earlier told me “I can’t have you bring a plastic cup to the tables” and that we would have to leave. I guess they wouldn’t serve it to us at the table because it was in a plastic cup? They seem to care more about aesthetics than their food and customer service.

It didn’t seem to be only us having issues as well. The table next to us was also complaining that they took their food away (that they were still eating) when one of them went to the bathroom. If you want better food and better service, definitely go to Luigi’s or Goldbergs next door.

✨Breakfast heaven alert ✨
I had the most amazing breakfast experience at this place! Everything was so beautiful, it felt like I had walked into a Pinterest board 🖼️. The decor? Stunning. The food? As pretty as a Vogue spread and just as delicious. I almost cried.
If I lived next door, I’d probably be here every single morning pretending I’m living my best life (and I’d totally be broke $$$$!, but with good lighting and great eggs).
Pro tip: wear your cutest outfit, this place deserves a full photoshoot. Also, bring the whole crew! The menu has something for everyone. I only missed some fruit on the side 🫠 (toddler problems lol you know) because the fruit was hiding deep inside the yogurt — which was still delicious, by the way.
Will I be back? Yes. Weekly? I wish. Daily? If I win the lottery and move in next door.

Avoid this place at all costs. Some of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered at an establishment.

I wanted to order a BEC without cheese because I have a severe dairy allergy. They told me I couldn’t do that. So I asked if the sandwiches were made from scratch, to which they responded yes. I then asked “well then can you not put cheese on the sandwich?” They said no and told me to order something else. I said that doesn’t seem too reasonable, they responded saying “too bad, order something else or you can leave”.

Complete disregard for their customers.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER!!!!

The service was very disappointing. Came here off season and ordered to go coffee and pastries. While waiting for my coffee, I sat down the bench across the counter and started eating my pastry. One staff lady gave me dirty looks and I got confused. She finally came over and tried to kick me out because I ordered to go and hence can’t sit on the bench. I said there’s literally noone here (4 other people in line) and I wasn’t in the dining area and i’ve been coming here for years in the summer and always sat at the bench while waiting for my coffee. She got aggressive so I asked for the manager thinking she was more reasonable. She said the same thing. It’s just insane to me That people are not allowed to sit on the bench while waiting for their coffee. She said that if i am sitting, I should be plated. But I said I ordered pastries and just sat down to take a bite and there was no one else sitting there and there’s only six people. I understand if I was sitting in the dining room (i wasn’t) or it’s summertime but with an empty place it’s just ridiculous. Their pastries are good, but they are overpriced anyway. not going back. Suggest you save your money and go to tou tuo and S&S coffee. They don’t kick out customers and are not sticklers to unreasonable “rules” so disappointing

Food was amazing. I grew up in France & could feel a lot of that influence here. This is obviously a popular place so there was a bit of a line but it moved fairly quick. The pastries looked amazing!

We loved the pain au chocolate. My avocado toast was so flavorful. The fresh squeezed orange juice was to die for. My husband loved his egg sandwich & cold brew as well!

THE WORST PLACE IN HAMPTONS!!!!
I went here for lunch. After eating my meal, I had to attend a zoom meeting and I chose to attend it there. My meeting started and understandably I was in the meeting, the manager or something like that, a lady came up to me and said "you have eaten your meal, I need a table, people are waiting, please get up", I said that I was in the meeting and I would get up when it was over. But the lady got angry and said very angrily, "Your meal is over, get up, I need the table" and I was in the middle of the meeting, everyone in the meeting heard this. One of the most shameful moments I've ever experienced. It's a disgraceful place, minimally decorated just for show, but IT'S A DISGRESSIVE RUDE PLACE. This lady was an old lady, with medium length hair, thin and quite rude and disgraceful. I definitely do not recommend it, do not waste your money!!!!!!!!!

To say this was the worst customer service I’ve experienced in years isn’t even hyperbolic. It was mortifying to be spoken to like children after dropping $60 on delicious baked goods and coffee. I couldn’t get out of there faster after being made to feel so unwelcome and condescended. I will be spreading the word and never returning — no matter how decadent your food is. Unreal. Do better.

Beautiful place, great food, but it was sort of stressful and chaotic atmosphere. We stopped there for some coffee and pastries, but it took us a while to find parking. Inside it was so many people and a stressful manager who seemed to try and guide costumers, but maybe causing them more anxiety instead. We will def come back and give another chance.
