et me first start off by saying that it took approximately 2.5 months to truly allow the horrific experience we had during our stay at EHP to sink in. The Hamptons are “love” for us as we always take a sisterly trip to relax and reset alongside celebrating a July birthday. The year prior (exact same time of year), we had such an alluring experience at a REAL 5-star property in Amagansett that we should’ve circled back to however we were looking for a different ambiance and vibe - as the marketing of a marina and pool were a nice alternative. Being that East Hampton shuts down fairly early, it would’ve been nice to have an oasis to call our “home away from home” for our 3 night stay - it was totally the opposite. Leading up to the arrival should have been an indication of the type of service (or lack thereof) that we would have received for the duration of our trip. They have you fill out a from requesting time of arrival upon booking, but that means nothing as some gut feeling led us to proactively check as we would not be arriving until closer to 8pm (as we always like to stop in Southampton for one of our favorite dinner spots that doesn’t open until 5pm) - man, was this coordination a “surprise” and cluster. We asked if we would have assistance with bags, there was a chuckle and a response of “well, I will be here and will do what I can”. That same young lady indeed stayed until we checked-in and was semi-helpful with the bags to the best of her ability, however upon arriving to our Marina/Harbor view suite, she did not have the right key and left our bags in the torrential pouring rain under a tree while she drove back to the office to obtain the “correct key” (read further for why this is in quotes) - we were flabbergasted, yet were also left in the rain until her return. Upon getting into the suite, we had to sit our bags by the living room fireplace for hours to dry out. The next morning, we discovered that the master bedroom shower did not work nor did the master bedroom fireplace; thus having to shower in one of the guest rooms. We then go to depart for our 11am appointment at the winery and realize that the keys left by the front office the night prior DID NOT work, so we had to go out of our back door and lock ourselves out of our place in hopes for it to be corrected upon our return. Again, what a cluster! Outside of this, there was an attempt to book a yacht sail and upon entering the front office, the receptionist was on the phone mitigating a personal matter with no acknowledgement of our presence, so we figure out the yacht on our own (fast forward, this same receptionist gave the same energy upon checkout as if we weren’t guests at the property - that time, we did not back down from speaking our minds and she was just plain rude). It was at that point, that we decided to steer anyone we could away from this ultra expensive and overly rude establishment! The “new” management (Ruchi) attempted to step in during our stay with a failed maintenance mitigation, bottle of bubbly and minimal follow, but the issues did not stop - by the way, the bathroom was NEVER rectified and their poor attitudes were truly mouth-dropping. While EVERY single customer should be treated equally, we were blown that as customers that paid for the next to highest tier suite would feel so unwelcomed - it damn near tainted our view of the Hamptons! Save your money, agony and peace and stay clear of EHP - don’t let the “beauty” of the property fool you! Calling themselves a 5 star is beyond a joke!
We came to this venue for a small corporate offsite, and it was perfect! The meeting room, catering, and accommodation all went smoothly, and Brigid and Ruchi even had the idea to organize a happy hour before our yacht charter, which the team loved. Thanks all!
I had a lovely stay at EHP Resort and Marina. The cottages are great, pillows are comfy, and Ruchi from the FD is AMAZING! She was very helpful, knowledgeable and assisted me with dinner reservation and transportation. Drinks by the pool were a very nice touch. I will be back!
I love the location, and the fact that I can walk to dinner at both of the restaurants. The pool is very nice . My one bedroom cottage was lovely , comfortable, clean , and a great surprise in an area where there are few hotels. They could easily make this place a five star resort! Almost there… The manager Ruchi is already a five star service star. Nothing I asked was too much for her and she went out of her way to help me. Above and beyond! I highly recommend staying here if visiting East Hampton.
We came here for our breakfast coffee as we were convinced that we would get a good coffee and some pastries based on the good reviews. However, we were faced with an unmotivated barista team that was not able to get a decent cup of coffee out of their machine. The overall disappointing start into the day was moderated by a proper chocolate croissant
This was our third stay here...this time for 4 nights in the Magari House...and we were pleased in general with the room and pool. However Sisi is now quite busy and the valets park cars everywhere including in the spaces closest to our room. Not sure why certain spaces are not left for paying guests? Housekeeping was quite good except for a little confusion on our last night. At these rates it would be "typical" to include breakfast at BuonGiorno, and to improve the TV package with "normal" channels, starting with FOX News. Football season here would be a problem.
Overrated and poorly operated resort is how I’d describe EHP. For the cost of the stay for a weekend - you’d think it would be run like a high end resort however it was basically self service type of environment. The check in process was not welcoming or accommodating. We had requested an early check in when booking and the front desk receptionist had us wait by the pool for 2 hours in 85 degree when the cottage (3 bedroom 3 bathroom) was available and cleaned the ENTIRE time. The receptionist didn’t even have the decency to get up to check or consult with house keeping before sending us away. The lock and key was broken and took house keeping to come by to actually show us how to get into the cottage. A lot of wasted time. As for the WiFi - non existent. Calls wirh dropped and all phones were on SOS the whole stay. There was absolutely no service by the pool - instead it was expected for guests to walk to reception to retrieve pool towels for themselves. For a “luxury hotel” - it was far from that. It was a 3 hour drive from home for us and we were looking forward to an enjoyable weekend with family but it was rather disappointing. The on site restaurant wasn’t even open for lunch when it was the middle of their peak season in July. Instead we found ourselves driving 20 min to the damark market every day for a meal. The bakery and the “free coffee” was poorly advertised. They claim there are perks to be guests but “forget” to mention when at the bakery and instead we paid each time we went. Overall - it needs to be made clear that the 1) pool is self service 2) restaurant on site is closed and only open for dinner 3) WiFi connection is not guaranteed before anyone else books and splurges on this hotel.
Idk what's changed since the Montauk location but the pastries there were wow. Now they are good but not great
Service: 1
The custard croissant was great! The espresso making needs a lot of training! Cappuccino is very good. Good in general.
We went there for breakfast multiple times.Croissants are good, although not as good as the Montauk location. Overall: go there if you are in East Hampton, otherwise go to the Buongiorno in Montauk - pastries are better and there is a wider selection

each of the cottages are unique. I stayed in six and seven. The y had beautiful towels and bedding. each had it's own patio. The hotel provided beach passes, umbrellas and beach chairs.Rooms are quite comfortable. The kitchenete is well appointed. The cleaning staff is very cooperative and makes the cottage immaculate! Si Si and Sunset Harbor are both excellent restaurants!!
We were looking for someplace to go for a girls weekend that was different from Gurneys. When we stumbled across EHP we thought we had found something great as the description of the 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage sounded perfect. It’s a new hotel so we figured that was why we had never heard of it before. Upon arrival we were struck by how lovey the location was. You can walk along the marina, the cottages are all tucked away off the road- it all looks great. However, that’s where the good part ended. The only way to describe check-in is “odd.” The person working the front desk barely said 2 words to us except to hand us a map. The property is not so large that you would need a map. Then we went to the cottage- clearly the big renovation they did at this property, was on the surface only. Everything is freshly painted, but I guess they didn’t let the paint dry. All the doors and cabinets were stuck. You had to really tug and pull to get anything to open or close. In fact, our last morning, we could not get the front door open at all and one of us literally climbed out the window to fix the situation. The rugs were in odd areas that prevented the doors from fully opening- that is, when they weren’t stuck shut. The downstairs bedroom had no closet, no extra pillows or blankets and no extra toilet paper. Clearly zero thought was put into the function of these rooms. Housekeeping had left the last guests dirty towels hanging on hooks. We called the front desk and she was d*** founded as to how to help us. She eventually came to replace the towels herself and we asked her another question and she yelled at us to consult our map. The next morning we went to the on site bakery for breakfast. They had a total of 3 croissants and 3 doughnuts for purchase. Nothing else. We asked about all the lovey items we saw on the menu and the response was “oh I didn’t work yesterday” Not sure how that explains the situation. The wi fi on property is non existent. One of us had zero service all weekend and the others could not make phone calls. There were multiple bugs in the master bedroom as well as several stray hairs. There was a sign in the room advertising room service and a QR code to scan. So we did that the next morning- but alas, there was no room service. We called the front desk again and were told to consult our map to go to the bakery. When we explained that the bakery had no food, the front desk had no response. EHP is about 10 minutes from town, and there are zero food choices near the property. There is an on site restaurant but it was only open for dinner. I understand it is considered the off season in the Hamptons and I understand the hotel is new, but if you can not offer basic amenities and services, then you should either close for the off season, or let people know that your services are not fully operational. This was a very disappointing experience. I imagine in the summer, people will be happy to spend a small fortune to stay here in subpar conditions, just so they can say they are in East Hampton, however, we will not be some of those people!
Good food and nice ambiance. Lovely with a light breeze. Cocktails are delicious.
Best. Stay. Ever. I can’t rave enough about the New EHP! Wow! Where do I begin…The Suites, The Pool, SiSi Restaurant Vibes, The Food, The Views and Michael, GM!!! Michael went above and beyond during our stay. Michael personally added so much amazing hospitality to give us a 5 star experience from arrival to departure. We will definitely be back! Thank you Michael and all at EHP⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very expensive, but mediocre food. There are plenty of delicious places in EH, this is not worth it, unless you have a glass of wine and come for the sunset.
