East Hampton and the Palm are iconic for our family and have been a summer tradition for the past 12 years.
Our fav place!! So warn and welcoming. Large portions of delicious food. Attentive waitstaff, every request met with a smile. Manager was super accomodating and recommended outstanding wines. Our waiter Garret made the evening so memorable .
3 Stars – Underwhelming Experience Came for my birthday and to catch up with a cousin I hadn't seen in years, but the noise level made conversation nearly impossible—even outside the main dining room. Food was just okay (filets, crab, veal parm, etc.), and service was average—we had to ask twice for water refills. Disappointing overall for a special occasion.
The service was slow, and inconsistent. A surprise because in years past service has been excellent. And the restaurant was no where near full. They seemed to be training some new staff. Food was delicious as always.
It's a great vibe as always. Service was polite but a bit inexperienced: we had to ask to place a drink order , no bread offered and , even after asking both the server & bus person for catchup ( for the hash browns) , neither ever arrived to the table. The drinks were fabulous ( the bartender knows how to make a perfect Gibson) as were the sides. My veal chop was perfectly cooked MW w a good char. My husband ribeye ( boneless) was more sous vide than grilled - cooked to MR but NO char. A bit disappointing but still tender/ delicious. All in all a fun night
Changing what was most appreciated for many years seems to fly in the face of basic logic. . Individuality of what was present being sliced and diced. The bar was a gem with the booths and now they are gone. Just another palm seemingly by design. Sorry to see decades of atmosphere depart. Service and chain like service steps omnipresent now and not very good. Waiting for cocktails at the bar which after 10 minutes we leave for the table dry. . One person seating so two at the host stand wait nervously waiting while the gentleman seating come back minutes later. Over 25 minutes before we could order a drink or see a menu. The new paint is not serving the legacy patrons well. Beware as the chatter is not worth going anymore which after decades of embracing, a bit sad.
They just did a big renovation. Bar and seating area was so nice and classy. Our food was incredible. Chicken parm was the best I've had. Creamed spinach too! Our server/bartender was terrific and so attentive. Truly a spectacular meal!
Chris and the team did an outstanding job to make us feel welcome when celebrating our 34th Wedding Anniversary! Food, drinks, atmosphere and service was amazing.. don't hesitate to go!
I had a wonderful birthday experience and dinner with family and friends! My favorite spot! Great food!
We had a nice dinner at the Palm while visiting the east end. Food and service were pretty good for off season.

The Palm East Hampton never disappoints!!! Matthew and Chrissy were great hosts. The food and service was excellent.
Overpriced mediocre food. Service was GREAT. But Veal Chop left me scratching my head. Small, salty and at 70 bucks I expected much better quality. Prices are ridiculous. Only went because we had a gift card. Never again.
I want to love this place but it's really just “okay”. The steaks are good but the service, salads, and other main courses ordered by our group were not as good as other places in EH, Amgansett, Bridgehampton, or Sag Harbor. I think the menu, tecipes and ingredients need a revamp. We were late for our reservation and they did graciously hold the table which was most appreciated.
It was a special occasion and our service was terrible. The restaurant was not crowded and other servers were much more attentive than ours. We had to ask for everything (or remind her to bring things that she already asked if we wanted). Overall it was very disappointing. The food was delicious but the poor service really detracted from our evening.
Not what it used to be, The Palm is trying to live on old glories!
Food and service are not up to the standards of a good steak house/restaurant
