Agreeing with a previous comment that the food was good, but those who worked there were rude for no reason. My partner and I were not understanding how the dishes worked, and we were served with just a lot of attitude. Not sure why we were being rushed for a response considering no one else was in the restaurant ordering. If management reads this, my advice is to ask if people are dining in or doing take-out, then from there if they’re dining in, seat them at a table and explain how it works rather than shouting at your customers from across the table and getting upset at people whose intentions are not to upset you but to support your business. It was my first time and last time going there. Do better.

Great food. But I don't know what we did to be treated poorly and rudely. If you have problem with us, you could have treated us with a better civility. I think that's the owner who talked to us, I've never felt threatened to order food before. May be the lady had a bad day.

The food is delicious and freshly made. My two young children loved the beef stew, chicken stew, pork and lumpia Shanghai egg rolls. We were blown away by their amazing Halo Halo dessert which they go above and beyond in preparing. Their coconut casava cake was also delicious. I appreciated their hospitality as they did not rush us out of the restaurant, though they were getting ready for closing. We can't wait to go back!

Possibly my favorite Filipino restaurant in East Meadow. Good, hearty comforting food. Get the lumpia and lechon kawali for that perfectly crisp and crunchy bite ? Servings are decent and the staff is so warm. Definitely recommend Kusinera!

Spotless little place in East Meadow serving the most delicious food. It’s like home-cooked comfort food. The guy at the counter is super friendly and welcoming. I’m looking forward to going again.

Me and my boyfriend were looking for a filipino restaurant around long island and we’re so happy we found this place!! We’ve been to a lot of filipino restaurants but none of them were really authentic but “Kusinera” reminds me of home! The owners were very accommodating and friendly. The food were sooo soo good! Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything was incredible. I learned that bitter melon is what Guyanese call "karela" so it was a pleasant surprise to recognize the taste in a different cuisine than I'm accustomed to. We sampled several dishes, all of which were delicious!

I recommend the following: Lumpiang Shanghai ("Filipino egg rolls"), Lechon Kawali (deep fried marinated pork belly), Ginisang Ampalaya (Bittermelon sauteed with garlic, onion, tomatoes, egg), Bistek Tagalog (thinly sliced beef, braised in soy sauce and calamansi, garnished with onion rings), Chicken Afritada (Tomato based chicken stew with potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers), and Sisig Pampanga (Minced grilled pork belly seasoned with calamansi and onions).

The hospitality at Kusinera is exemplary: it's one thing to go somewhere and have a meal. This was an entirely different experience, we were invited to a feast of amazing cultural dishes, and they shared the heritage of the dishes. Joy and Dennis are gracious hosts, and I'm excited to return for the next meal!

Best Filipino food around. Staff and owner are so welcoming and accommodating. They offer vegan and vegetarian options and you can’t even taste the difference. Highly recommend if you want fresh and delicious food.

We ordered a whole bunch of trays for an after wedding party-party. About 60-70 guests. Every single dish was a hit. They even prepared it before business hours because it was quite an order. Will be ordering from here for future parties. Well done, Kusinera! The trays we ordered were: bam-i, sisig, chicken afritada, beef kaldereta, ginisang sitaw at kalabasa, ginataang mais and ube flan. A little over $1000 worth.

Stumbled upon this place after going to Eisenhower park. Really tasty home style cooked dishes. We tried most of the hot plate offerings and the lechon and everything was delicious. Owners are super friendly and very hospitable. Even had a little coloring package for kids. Will definitely be coming back to try the a la carte menu.
