Best sushi in Nassau County I’ve tried, hands down!

We came in on a Sunday about 8:40, well before the listed 9:30 closing time, and were warned as we came in that they actually close at 9:20. It seemed odd that it would be an issue with plenty of time to order; but apparently unlike most restaurants the closing time is a matter of when they expect you to actually leave.
Still, with seemingly enough time, we ordered, and the appetizer - soft shell crab - came quickly. Unfortunately, though it was not one of the dishes listed as “spicy”, it came with spicy mayo on top. I told the server that I can’t eat spicy food, would not have ordered it if I had known, and asked her to take it back. She gave me an argument, saying I should have told her I can’t eat spicy food. I pointed out that since they list some dishes specifically as spicy, one would assume - as in most other restaurants - that the rest are not. She reluctantly took it back, and informed us the Angel Roll we had ordered, also not labeled spicy, came with spicy mayo on top as well, so we also asked for that to be redone.
This pushed things closer to closing time, and rushed our meal a bit. But I have to say that the food was wonderful: The crab crisp outside, moist inside; the sushi fresh, and the pineapple shrimp fried rice delicious.
So despite the unfortunate attitude we encountered, this restaurant is well worth the trip for the excellent food. Just keep in mind that the closing time is not what’s listed on the website. And that it’s best, whatever the menu says, to ask details before ordering.

Came here for sushi, was having a decent meal and all of a sudden I saw MICE running around in the restaurant!!!! I was freaking out and had to leave. Will never eat here again! BEWARE!!!!!!!

Ordered 4 items to go. Was missing shumai. Tried calling numerous times and line was busy for 30 + minutes until I finally gave up. I wanted it to be delivered or credit the $6.25 to my credit card. It’s not fair to have to pack my kids up and go back again to the store.

Asked for a specific chop sticks on the phone because I don’t own any. Lady stopped me while I was grabbing extra chop sticks from the bin And assured me there was the correct amount of chop stick. ( I knew there wasn’t. They’re always wrong). Of course right when I get home and check there is not nearly enough chop sticks. Who stops a customer from taking an extra pair of chop sticks in a Japanese takeout restaurant.

Amazing special rolls and sushi apps, and the staff is super friendly! Been coming here for at least 15 years now.
Recently I ordered food and was told that you have to spend $16 to use a card in the restaurant. I know everyone is charging 3% fees for card usage, which is outrageous to begin with, but to make you get cash for a purchase is ridiculous. I can buy $150 and use a card anywhere. I have been going here for years, but will now go elsewhere to get my sushi just because it’s an inconvenience to have to carry cash. It’s a shame because the food is delicious.

The service and food here is outstanding. Never once had a bad meal. The resturant is a bit small but always clean and the staff is very friendly. I cant get enough of the sweet potato roll!

I have been eating here for years. Their fish is always fresh and Delicious. The bento box is a great deal.
