I have been a Marriott member for years. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. This hotel is a poor example for Marriott. The service was horrible and under staffed. Their restaurant also is horrible an unsanitary. They handle the food as they are preparing without any care. The counter is a mess and they aren’t polite. They were busy just talking amongst themselves paying no attention to the needs of the customers. I also had a simple issue with my bill. I had a charge for Stamps from the hotel. I stated I didn’t buy stamps and I was told well we made a mistake and it must have been a coffee that you purchased. This also isn’t correct as I didn’t buy a coffee. Also, some questions at the front desk took a lot of time because you were waiting for someone to show up to assist I am a lifetime, gold member and a seven year platinum elite member with Marriott. I am moving to another hotel for all my future travels as this was a horrible experience.

Last night we were bumped last minute at our booked hotel and transferred here. Raven at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. She did everything to make it right for us despite the other Marriott not doing so. After a long drive and a last minute, “sorry we have no room for you despite having a confirmed reservation, ” Raven took such good care of us. Our room was clean and comfortable. But above all, the customer service was phenomenal. Thank you, Raven! You were a gem!

Large rooms, nice lobby but our room smelled like cigarette smoke and the bathroom smelled like cigarettes and mildew. Cigarette smell was pumping through the vents - it was very strong and horrible! I complained to the front desk and they offered to put an oxidation machine in the room if we would be gone for more than 2 hours b/c it’s not safe to use with people in the room. I asked too late in the evening and we were not going to be gone long enough. In addition to overpowering smoke smell, The shower curtain had a very moldy/ mildew smell that was very overpowering. I am not exaggerating, The whole room and bathroom smells were really strong and terrible. I will not stay here again.

Reserved two rooms in advance with points. No hiccups with the checkin or checkout. Rooms are nice and comfy and there is the usual bar in the lobby with a friendly hostess. Nice little passive lounge off the lobby a large TV to socialize. There is a courtyard outside as well. The temp control in the room worked very well and it was not noisy.

To be transparent, my view is a bit biased since my car was hit (and run) in the parking lot. I know it isn't the hotel's responsibility but 1) there are no security cameras covering the parking lot (a basic safety issue in my book) and 2) hotel management said they would help with an incident report which they did not. This incident to the aside, there are other issues. To start the hvac units are old and loud. I am a Gold level customer and these are some of the worst that I have experienced. Second, I don't know where they were hiding, but the front desk was frequently unmanned. I saw this delay check-in including my own. Third, there were towels and trash stacked in the hallway down from our room when we arrived (late afternoon) Hello housekeeping? A couple of other nits that I won't repeat but I don't see how this place is up to Marriott standards. Management was certainly not on its game last weekend.

This is an average Courtyard property. Comfortable but starting to age. Great location but there are several other Marriott options close by---a new SpringHill Suites and newer Fairfield Inn right around the corner. Also a newer Residence Inn and Courtyard at Armory Square with walking distance of restaurants and bars. So based on that competition, I likely will stay elsewhere.

This hotel thinks that guests won’t be bothered by a flashing light all night long from the smoke detector which is directly above the bed. I had a terrible sleep and will never ever stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is happy to accept business and reservations through 3rd parties but not willing to rectify issues when 3rd party vendor & Marriott systems fail ! I expect little from a 3rd party vendor but am super disappointed with Marriott customer service. On a weekend when Syracuse hotels were clearly overbooking I suspect I'm not the only one to have been taken advantage of. When contacted to be given the opportunity to rectify the situation Marriott was determined to argue what the 3rd party vendors do and don't do isn't their problem but happy to take my $$ through them without my party spending one second at the hotel.

My 18 year old son was traveling and went to the Carrier Circle, Courtyard. He had stayed there a few months prior. We do a great deal of business at Fort drum New York. This particular Saturday afternoon, the woman at the front desk refused to check him in because he wasn’t 21. Even though there’s nothing on the Marriott website that says you have to be 21 and they checked him in a couple months ago, this woman refused to let him in. Even the Ambassador line at Marriott Bon Voy couldn’t help. They made him drive halfway across Syracuse and check into another courtyard that had no problem giving him a room. We send engineers to Fort drum routinely and will never use this hotel again. It was discriminatory, and put an 18-year-old in a strange city at risk. Their manager refused to get on the phone and explain why. Thanks for keeping my son safe Marriott!!! NOT

I am an ambassador member with 100+ nights a year. I was traveling through last night and needed a place to stay. Most hotels including the newer ones were booked out because the state fair starts shortly. I was able to get a room at this hotel for an obscene price. I am glad that I was able to find a room at all though. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. There were hairs in the bathtub\shower. The furniture may or may not be old, but it certainly looks outdated and ugly. This morning the pool area was empty so I decided to spend some time at the pool and Jacuzzi. The pool was dirty, and the floor around the pool was far worse, with lots of hairs all around. I left, and will not return. The people at the front desk were polite, but that does not compensate for the lack of cleanliness.

We stayed 2 nights and were very satisfied. Clean quiet room and a great pool and whirlpool.Room seemed a tad small maybe but didn't detract from our enjoyment. One warning, there was no hairdryer in the room.

The hotel was nice clean and quiet. There were very few guests here and we had a room overlooking the parking lot. It might have been nicer if we had a view of the courtyard. Very close to some restaurants. The staff were friendly.

Stayed for two nights for work at this Courtyard on hotel row. The older, but renovated Courtyards are my favorite, I do love having a balcony. Good service, a couple dining choices within walking distance; overall a very good choice for business travelers.
