Truly a lovely spot directly on the water with great views! Restaurant is very pretty. Our dinners that were specials were excellent. Menu is very basic, it could be expanded to be more interesting. The service by the waiter was very good. We did wait for our second drink with a glass empty for awhile before anyone came back to the table. Unfortunately, they did my pet peeve which always leaves me with a poor taste. That is when I asked for the leftovers to be taken home I was simply given boxes and a bag to do it myself.
We were seated promptly and greeted by a waitress. The menu was excellent. We ordered and the food came out hot . The food quality was excellent and the plates were well presented. The views of Moriches bay are stunning. There ere even swans paddling by. This is definitely a nice place to go to.
Steak not flavorful but was a good filet. Overall just bland scalloped potatoes, I added cream spinach to give some taste. Presentation was beautiful
It was very strange. The food was very good and I would go back to this restaurant but... The waitress read to us the specials and told us one of the specials was a surf and turf which included a filet mignon and a 1-1/2 pound lobster. When the dish arrived it included the filet and two grilled shrimp. I did not question it as both my son and I ordered the same dish . When I received the check the price was more inline with what was served but disappointing. In addition we did not order appetizers anticipating a much more expensive charge for the "surf and turf."
Great location on the bay looking at the water and sunset. Wonderful menu and quality food, and small enough to feel personal. The staff is accommodating, and you are never rushed, which is one of the reasons we like the place so much.
The view of the open bay from the dining room is fantastic! The service is efficient and friendly.
I had a truly awful experience at Trumpets on the Bay on Easter Sunday. We made a reservation for 14 people two which were children, when we made the reservation we were informed that they do not have high chairs so the children would be in a regular seat which was fine as they are able to sit in adult chairs, expecting a smooth and organized holiday dinner. Instead, when we arrived, the table was only set for 13—missing both a chair and a place setting. When we calmly brought this to the attention of the woman running the restaurant, her response was shocking. She flat-out told us she didn’t have an extra chair and refused to accommodate us. There was no attempt to problem-solve, no apology, and no effort to make things right—just outright refusal to seat our group. For a restaurant hosting holiday reservations, this level of disorganization and dismissive treatment is completely unacceptable. The way we were treated was disrespectful and honestly disgusting. The worst part is my family has hosted two showers and my parents and Aunt are regulars on the weekends for lunch. The treatment we received on what should have been a happy celebration of our holiday is enough for us to never return and we will make sure anyone we know never patronizes this place ever again. I would not recommend this place, especially for larger groups or special occasions. Absolutely disgusting.
I can’t even express the level of service and DESPICABLE attitude towards loyal customers on Easter Sunday! They were short ONE chair of our booked in advance reservation of our family of fourteen and as a result we were REFUSED service. We were flabbergasted to say the least on this Easter Sunday. There were two chairs outside and they wouldn’t even take the effort to get them for us. We left in disgust and again we’ve been frequenting there for years, had a baby shower AND bridal shower there. DISGRACEFUL!!! The WORST business practice ever and left a family in the rain on Easter. I’m in disgust. Don’t EVER frequent again people!!!
terrific place, went at 5 and was quiet even with a party in the back room. we had the filet minoen and was cooked just the way ordered, swapped out the potatoes for extra veg with no problem. Our other friends had the fish and chips and the tempura shrimp, everones meal was spot on and delicious. Deserts the same. Been there a few times already and not one issue ever. Highly recommend.
We celebrated the first New Year weekend there. The place feels very festive and joyful. Holiday decorations matter! The staff was fantastic and accommodating.

The owner, Helen, is a very lovely person. We met the chef, and the entire staff was incredibly professional and welcoming. The food is exceptional and beautifully prepared.
Love Trumpets... serene atmosphere & good food. Our waitress "Naomi is always so pleasant, friendly & professional. She adds to our enjoyment at the restaurant.
Trumpets on the Bay is our favorite restaurant in Manorville, NY. Its food, service and ambience is wonderful.
We went during restaurant week and it was a good value for the money. We go there during the summer because the view was always wonderful.
Consistently good food while enjoying a lovely ambiance on the water. Just done up for Halloween. Just special on a quiet fall evening enjoying life at Trumpets on the Bay. Who could ask for more.
