Hostess needs to polish up on service. We ordered drinks at the bar and she did not offer to put them on a tray and bring to the table. That is a fine dining restaurant. Food was fantastic.

We had people from out of state coming to NY so we decided to try it. My husband’s chicken was chewy and gross he return it and asked the waitress to bring another dish the chef apparently refused. Made my husband pay for the returned dish till our guest talked to the manager. Our drinks didn’t even have alcohol in it it tasted like just fizzy water. My steak came out with a hair on the plate. Not sure what’s going on but this place isn’t worth it. We are never coming back there again. Don't waist your time and money.

My husband and I were out for a drive and decided to look for someplace to dine on the water. We came across this place by chance (Google) and couldn't have been more pleased. We arrived without a reservation and slightly underdressed; but were greeted by a delightful hostess, served by a very attentive staff, and the food was top notch. Our compliments to the chef. We look forward to returning.

Over priced, underpar food, they're charging you for the beautiful view of the South Bay. Pretentious and corropt owners.

Trumpet's on the Bay is a favorite of “ we three ladies “. We have been there multiple times and each time the dining experience has been exemplary. You are greeted by a warm lovely hostess. The restaurants atmosphere is just beautiful and changes with the holidays. Our waitress, whom we had multiple times, is pleasant, knows the menu and the specials. She is ver attentive to our needs. The food is heavenly; my Chicken Riveria was delightful; the chicken was tender, the stuffing savory and seasoned well. The roasted potatoes crisp on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The green beans were cooked well and stood for themselves.

We enjoyed a relaxing evening with delicious food. I ordered the halibut which was cooked to perfection. My husband and our friend both enjoyed the stuffed pork chop. We will definitely return!

Best restaurant in the area. Excellent service, fresh gourmet food and a stunning view of the bay at sunset. One can't go wrong here.

This was one of the worst dining out meals in a long time for my mother, who ate there last week. She said: "The food "Pena posta '' dish was WAY overpriced for LOW quality. The desert peach melba was overpriced, small portions not great. I threw out my leftovers. . Beautiful spot decorated wonderfully for Christmas. Excellent service. She wont go there again and tells people not to go there after this experience.

Posting primarily regarding the poor service we received tonight. We visited for my father’s 85th birthday, but were not welcomed warmly at any stage of the dinner. Our server was sub par, (primarily in her communication), even though we were one of only three tables occupied. One burger was undercooked, but this was remedied by them grilling it a bit more. Beyond that, the food was good overall. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by the lack of service we received on this visit (it has been very good previously). Given the amount of great restaurants in the vicinity, we will think twice before going back in the future.

Had a very nice dinner at Trumpets on December 9th. We arrived a half hour before our reservation to have a drink at the bar. Laurie made us each a great martini! When we arrived I gave the hostess our name and told her we requested the front room. She responded “ I'll see what I can do”. I don't care for that kind of response, especially since I made the reservation two weeks in advance and the restaurant wasn't crowded. But we were seated where I had requested. We started with the baked clams which were good. Then we had the shrimp tempura, which was delicious and the filet mignon, which was good. We were going to get a bottle of wine, but there wasn't a lot of good choices. They should update the wine list to offer a few good Long Island wines. We just had a glass of their house Cabernet which was just ok. We finished with a peach melba and a coffee. Both very good. The bill was $128 dollars, before tip, so not too bad. They always decorate very nice for Christmas so that's very important time around the holidays. The only complaint was that it was a little bright, I wish they would have lowered the lights a bit. All in all, a nice night. We will be back.
