This used to be my go-to Thai spot, I’d order pickup, delivery, and even eat in sometimes (it’s a small place with just a few tables). But one day I got rice that was half full and dry (see image), like it had been sitting out. The flavor was just okay, and I feel its not as good anymore and that kind of ruined it for me. I won’t be ordering from here again.

This place makes a valiant effort for bringing Thai flavors to a value-oriented lunch place, but some things detract from the experience. I went with a Thai national and he had the papaya salad, saying it tasted nothing like it should and left out key ingredients such as fish sauce. I had the basil chicken over rice, and there was a LOT more rice than chicken. The chicken had a weird fish sauce flavor, which should’ve been in the papaya salad, not the chicken. The prices seemed good on the menu, but the portions were small. The best dish tried was the chive pancake, which was an appetizer costing $9. Finally, it was dinner time but only one waitress was to be found, so when other customers came in, service slowed. As a lunch place, Boon Chico’s a better option if you’re nearby and you’re tired of the Chinese places nearby. For dinner, pass.
Vegetarian options: Appetizers based on tofu or chives.
Kid-friendliness: Don’t bring kids here.
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat floor but narrow spaces between tables.

Whoever Ming Lee was that did waitress service tonight 1/30/2025 was first of all, dressed extremely casual and without any sort of professional uniform or hair net and then hassled me for "%18 minimum tip." As if she didn't know tipping in New York State (or any state for that matter) is in fact voluntary and not mandatory so it's safe to say her customer service skills are lacking disgustingly. It takes one interaction to ruin an experience. She should feel lucky I didn't leave exact change

Since we got to know this place with my partner, we haven't stopped visiting it ☺️ The food is very delicious, excellent prices and service. The Ice Te Chai is Yummy and the mango sticky rice dessert can't be missed. Pad Thai is our favorite dish. The dumplings are perfect. Soups and rice. It's my favorite restaurant just a few minutes from my house ?

The food at this place was wonderful this is because they are very fresh. The foods that I can recommend are green papaya salad, tom yum and many more. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere can be noisy during meal time.

My favorite affordable Thai place since high school, I still go there now, and it’s been 8 years!! I always get same order, spicy drunken noodle with choice of meat and spicy basil fried rice!!!! They also have mango sticky rice which I crave time to time and it’s worth the price cause other place charge a lot! Def give it a try, sadly they don’t have bathroom, other than that service is good and so is the food too

It’s a literal hole in the wall place with decent Thai food. It’s not the best I’ve ever had. The seafood pancake was mostly squid and doughy. The clams basil had good flavor but there wasn’t much. The yum seafood was also mostly squid. The pad kaprow was a little too salty although it was meant to be eaten with rice. But it’s good for a reasonable priced filling meal.

Small local spot. New for me. Ordered Pad Woo Sen. Food was colorful. A small portion was slightly burnt, the tomato pieces were mushy, the slices of pork were DRY and had no flavor and they used America broccoli.
Disappointed.
