“If your looking for great homemade food and coffee and a taste of Algeria please come to Kashbar Cafe I've been coming here for almost 3 years and as a chef this place is a hidden gem that everyone needs to experience. Walk into the establishment, and be welcomed by the husband and wife team. Simply amazing people; kind and friendly and professional. They go above and beyond to satisfy the customer and the prices are low and the food is plentiful It feels like a second home or a place to get away and relax and have amazing traditional food from Algeria Traditional sweets and popular desserts, coffee and teas, are a great way to finish the experience I come everyday and see the beauty this family has created in just 3 years and they are thriving A weekly changing menu and weekend eats are a must From octopus to lamb and even vegetarian options, they have something for everyone The bread is handcrafted every day and sells out. Grab a few baguettes, I always do Please it's an experience to witness for yourself Hope to see you“

“I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it was surprisingly not very busy. The dining area is cafeteria style and there was plenty of seating available. I decided to go with the paneer butter Masala dosa since they only have it available on the weekends. I asked them to make it as mild as possible since South Indian food tends to be very spicy and I cannot handle the heat. The dosa was paper thin which is exactly what I wanted. The filling was delicious and I loved the coconut chutney sauce that came with it. I got the mango lassi drink and it was refreshing and delicious, just wish the drink portions were bigger. The food was very authentic South Indian and it tasted just like what I remember eating when I went to Kerala. This place is out of the way for me but I would definitely return if I'm in the area.
Vegetarian options: El menú es totalmente vegetariano.“

“We had a reservation for a Sunday brunch and got seated immediately. We ordered the steak and eggs and the pancakes - highly recommend both of these. The eggs were cooked perfectly while the pancakes were so fluffy ?. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Definitely would go back even with so many options in NYC.“

“A much needed addition to edgewater and the overall area!
I wish they offered ekmek kataifi!
But If you are looking for a relaxing cafe with lots of cakes, crepes, greek and turkish sweets, coffees and teas, and lots of seating, this is the place for you.
They have traditional Greek desserts like kataifi and ravani which are delicious and turkish coffees. They also have lunch options and spinach or cheese pies etc..
Owners are sweet and overall this is a gem for the area!“

“It's has vegan options! Two kitchens!! Food is eggcellent also for vegetarians, service very nice and great to have a none rushed brunch. It is on the pricey side but you can taste the quality of the food! The only little speck is that its hard to get them on the phone.
The waffles were divine! Coming back for more!“

“The food is delicious but dry and with too many onions on top.
The natural juice was also good but my friend's juice, which was mango, had a very bland flavor.
The service was very good, fast and efficient.
The place is nice, the decoration is beautiful and the music is enjoyable.
If it is to return with friends and family. Very good place.“
“The dining hall itself has such a home feel because of the amazing staff. They are all friendly and energetic especially Dave and Chef Anthony. They always care to ask how you have been and how classes are going it gives a great break to the stress from college.“
“I came to NYU for a week-long program during the summer. Some of the food was good while some was not, especially the breakfast. However, having visited several colleges during the summer, I've found that the menu isn't typically as good as what's offered during the regular school season, so it is completely understandable. Despite this, I still enjoyed the food and the variety of options available.“
“We love cafe 28 for breakfast as they have a huge choice. You can’t beat an everything bagel with sausage, bacon, eggs and cheese washed down with a large latte to get you set up for a days shopping on 6th. The omelette are great too. Highly recommend for a cheap but tasty start to your day“

“I didn’t know which one tasted better, so I tried them all. I found 3 things I liked... I asked them their names, but it turned out that the person working on them didn't speak much English. She answered me in Spanish...I don't understand Spanish, so I ignored the name? One is filled with egg, and the more you chew it, the more delicious it gets...The other one has the same texture as mochi. It's a potato on the outside and meaty on the inside.“
