Just took my son to Hi Fry in Elmhurst — and let me tell you, this spot is SMALL but fights like a heavyweight. 💪

We went all in:
🥩 Stir-Fried Beef w/ Spicy Pepper & Chives — had me sweating like I was in a 12th round with Mike Tyson.
🍗 Crispy Fried Chicken — so good I almost told my son he couldn’t have any… but I’m working on being a better dad 😂.
🥟 Pork & Crab Dim Sum — little bombs of flavor that disappeared faster than my paycheck on a Friday.

This place is a gem. Customer service? Top notch. And here’s the kicker — every time you spend over $10, they bring out a WHEEL. Spin-to-win action like I’m at a Vegas buffet in Queens. 🎰

Elmhurst, you did it again.

Their food is subpar just go to any Chinese dim sum spot and it beats them by far. Over priced and flavor lacking…

Was gonna give it a try but unfortunately can’t get anything. First, the order taking person is very unprofessional, she doesn’t know what does they have. I ordered kung pao chicken pan fried bun and roasted pork bun. We waited 15 minutes then we asked how much longer, they said 5 more minutes. Then after 5 minutes, the lady in the from who taking order suddenly very busy and making a smoothie which another customer ordered right after us. Yes, they waited 20 minutes for their smoothie. The lady could have made it 20 minutes ago. Then after she made the drink she went into the kitchen for another 5 minutes then we asked her again after she came out. Then she told us they made the wrong order. We have to cancel our order and get a refund. A very bad experience……. I will never go there again

Amazing Chinese food! Everything was cooked perfectly — bold flavors, great texture, and just the right amount of spice. The portions were generous, and the food came out hot and fast. If you're looking for something delicious and satisfying, this place is a must-try!

I was really impressed with the Chinese food here! The flavors are rich and authentic, and the ingredients taste fresh. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. It’s the kind of meal that hits the spot — comforting, satisfying, and super tasty. Definitely coming back for more!

The Chinese food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish is full of flavor, well-seasoned, and freshly made. From the stir-fried noodles to the dumplings, everything tastes authentic and satisfying. Highly recommend if you're craving something tasty and comforting!

I always get the combo and it’s so worth it. A good chunk of food for a pretty solid price. My favorite part is obviously spinning the wheel to get free food. I will say that you can expect a wait of 10-15 minutes and the food itself is more or less mediocre (which is by no means a bad thing!). My least favorite was probably the lamb buns but I did like the pork patty and chicken over rice.

This place is incredibly charming with its friendly staff. They were more than happy to assist me in choosing a dish, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting this place and trying one of their signature rice bowls. The food is not only cheap but also incredibly tasty. I’ll definitely be back!

Overall standard dim sum. Good if you’re in the neighborhood but wouldn’t go out of the way for it.

Dim Sum Bloom is a decent spot for a quick bite with cute branding, but the food feels like it’s pre-packaged or frozen, not made in-house. It’s good if you need something fast—just don’t expect authentic dim sum or outstanding food.

Maybe I need to try the claypot rice or noodles next time to see if there are better options.

NOT A RESTAURANT. There are no bathrooms for customers, all food is served in to-go containers, plastic plastic and some flimsy boxes. Their menus shows clay pots and steam baskets but you'd better be ready for a mountain of disposable trash. Really overpriced compared to the old-school dimsum/dumpling places in the area and Manhattan's China Town.
Never coming back. All they did was drop off a tray with boxes and plastic containers on my table: no silverware or napkins, but you can walk to the window and grab your own, same window you will drop off all the trash they give you after you buss your own table. They have the temerity to put a tip line on the bill.

This place is low-key/easy, and new-feeling/clean. There’s a counter you order at, and just a couple tables. We ate there, the service and dim sum were both excellent. And stuff is well-priced. Our faves were the Shanghai soup dumplings, the lotus balls, shrimp in bean curd!!!, duck dumplings, and waygu beef dumplings. They have cute little boxes so it looks like it would be great for to-go food, which isn’t always the case with dimsum.
