I think Yi Mei has been in Elmhurst for over forty years. Props to businesses surviving in NYC. I haven't visited much because my mom preferred other neighborhood bakeries, however, I like to taste test and support bakeries that make their own mooncakes! My fav Bakery , the cakes are always amazing ! I choose this bakery for every special birthday celebration. The owner and the employees always make sure my cakes come exactly how i want them . They never fail to make me happy . The best past is that you can order 2 days prior the celebration & it will be ready :) of course I always order at least a week in advance just in case I wanna change anything . The prices are pretty good ! The cake itself taste mazing .

Their Pullman white bread is undefeated. They make the best Asian style sandwich bread in NYC. I usually get their extra large loaf and freeze to use as needed. So good! Also a great place to get a ham and egg bun and Swiss roll cakes.
