High quality Italian/ American cuisine including homemade pasta and delicious seafood. Only drawback is prices are steep, but generally worth it. Memorabilia from the past on the walls gives you plenty to keep your eyes entertainedunlisted sports heroes and actors!

Not my best experience, I'm not sure why my friends love this place? Food was average at best, extremely dark inside, loud, not the best place to have conversation with your table. Service excellent.

My wife and I went on Valentine’s Day and although the atmosphere and service were excellent, we simply were not impressed with the food.At the time we made reservations, we were not informed the restaurant would be operating on a limited menu. This also wasn’t announced anywhere on their website or Facebook page.For a $54 steak, it was large but flavorless. No salt, pepper, or any hint of seasoning nor was there even a char. It was simply a large flavorless steak. The chicken in the chicken parm was excellent, however the sauce was watery and flavorless. The baked potatoes had all been made ahead of time and wrapped in foil, resulting in a cold soggy mess which, when coupled with cold butter, simply wasn’t what was expected.We both had heard excellent things about Lib’s from our friends and looked forward to trying them for the first time, however we were disappointed.Even on the busiest of nights restaurants should be able to uphold their reputation for quality, and Lib’s just wasn’t able to do it.We’d love to try again sometime, but at the risk of getting a random night with limited menu, and us being too polite to send back everything on our plate (and we are by no means picky eaters) we’re unsure it’s worth the risk.We’ve also seen the manager on the internet calling customers “cheap and broke” when discussing New York’s wage laws for tipped employees. While people are free to do as they please on the internet, it hardly seems appropriate for someone who advertises they manage a fine dining establishment to pick fights and insult customers on the internet. I would suggest that he remove any affiliation with the restaurant from his page because those actions reflect poorly on the restaurant.

My first time at libs was in 1982. Been going ever since. Always fresh and fabulous. The food is delicious especially my favorite the Gorgonzola chicken or filet with scampi. The best house Italian salad on the planet. Order the cheesy garlic bread!

The food was very good, but the waitress was very slow to come back and take payment. I waited for almost 30 minutes after I finished dinner to pay. Very unpleasant to wait so long to pay.

UPDATE: How is it a business opens at 4 ans at 5:17 is no longer excepting take out orders? ?? If I go and eat in I can still get what I wanted to order and take to go? ??‍♀️??‍♀️Old 5 star review.I had the filet medallions, as always cooked to perfection and delicious!

You will definitely want to make a reservation as they fill up fast. The service was very friendly and speedy. The food tasted like a good home cooked Italian meal. There was enough food in one meal for about 3 people. Definitely plan on some leftovers. The only downside for me, personally, was the dim lighting.

In a weird spot but everything was amazing! Service, food, bar, atmosphere and even the history of the place made it an experience. Had the NY Strip and Shrimp Provencle and ate so much that I was miserable the rest of the night…but like…in a good way! I couldn’t stop eating. Probably the best shrimp I’ve ever had. Service with a huge smile. Prices are high but you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend!
