Super magical place if you walked too quickly, you would miss the adorable alley with plastic flowers. The decor is a mismatch of furniture, art in a homey vibe. There is even a friendly, resident cat who walks around and partake the toilet water. The service was excellent and they surprised my friend with a birthday cookie with a lit candle. They even gave me a cookie for just being there. The sandwiches were so fresh and filling. Definitely a unique place to go.

My husband took me to the Cakery for our anniversary 12/23/2025. I had never been there before and what a quaint and homey place to do something so different, eat sweets and forget the whole meal. Miss Lisa made the most superb cake for us, white cake and divine white icing with designs with gold in them which you can eat. There is only one other bakery that made cake like this and unfortunately went out of business long ago. Thrilled with Miss Lisa's cake. Seeming as we moved up here from New Orleans my favorite dessert is creme brulee. Unable to find the real dessert I was totally surprised when Miss Lisa made the dessert which put me back to the dessert of New Orleans. So delicious. This was a totally charming way to spend our anniversary, Miss Lisa and her brother were fantastic hosts and that evening will forever be in the top part of my experiences. If you have not been there, go!! We plan on making it a special place place to go not only for the desserts but the two people who made it possible for a unique and magical evening. They make you feel like family.

I ordered a specialty cake and cupcakes for an anniversary party. As always, she did an amazing job! The food was delicious, moist, and worth every penny. She covered the cake in butterflies and the icing is perfection. I’ve been to two other events where she has provided the cake, a wedding and a funeral. It’s always beautiful and delicious. She goes out of her way to make the customers happy and to make sure it looks perfect. She really does flawless work.

We couldn't have asked for a more delightful cake for our daughter's 21st birthday! Wow! White cake with buttercream frosting, and she added some vanilla cream to the center! Out of this world rich vanilla flavor and beautifully decorated as well. The Cakery is a local gem, and I highly them recommend for any special occasion. Lisa was accommodating and we are lucky to have her talent in this area!
Fantastic! Ran in on a lunch hour, didn't have much time as I was on jury duty, but they were very efficient. I don't remember the name of the sandwich that I had but it was delicious! It was homemade bread and had a slight sweetness to it. It also included scrambled eggs bacon spinach and I believe provolone cheese, Excellent! The gentleman at the counter gave me a bottle of water for my wait, but my wait actually wasn't bad at all! Will definitely go there again!

A friend of mine introduced me to this place and now iv gone several times and iv had great service, it’s a very cool and interesting spot and we are lucky to have it right here in Elmira. The menu is changed often so they offer a variety of sandwiches etc. There’s also a bakery side with brownies and cookies, pie and more. It’s so easy going and I love the atmosphere. The brother to the owner is phenomenal he’s funny and down to earth he’s very caring and always makes sure we have everything we need and when we’re done he’s right there to clean up. I will now be a regular. If you haven’t been here I highly recommend, it you won’t regret it!
