Love the salads!!
I was in Elmira so I decided to a stop at turtle leaf for the first time in a while. Ordered a strawberry turkey brie and began waiting. While I’m waiting one of the employees comes out from the back and asked if anyone had picked up the strawberry turkey Brie with no pesto yet. Another employee said no I don’t know who ordered that. So I end up waiting about 15 minutes for my sandwich and the girl comes out and says what was your order again? I said strawberry turkey brie she goes the one without pesto? I said no a normal one. So I see them go in the back and she comes back out with my sandwich I leave and when I open it in my car sure enough it’s the strawberry turkey brie that had been sitting on the counter for 15 minutes that was made with no pesto only now they added fresh pesto to it. It was cold, the cheese was no longer melted and it wasn’t the sandwich I ordered. The place has really gone downhill. Last time at turtle leaf.
Food quality is poor, rude staff. Don't recommend. Went down hill since new ownership.
Terrible food and rude staff. Don't recommend. Went down hill fast with the new owner.

LISTEN CLOSELY!! If you enjoy purchasing your own bagel, then taking to the toaster, then toasting it yourself, THEN spreading your own cream cheese. This place will be a wonderful experience for you.
Stopped in today for the first time. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel. They offer plain or everything only. Everything on the bagel was great. The bagel was just ok at best. My co-worker had a breakfast burrito and was not impressed. Staff was very nice.
Wide variety of food options, delicious and healthy.
Probably won't go here again. Coffee ok, not great , food not too good.
It was refreshing to find a different cafe around in Elmira with better vegetarian food options. $38 for a flatbread, panini, and a small mocha + tips. 😐; seems overpriced. 2 hardworking servers, overwhelmed with orders. Chips & salsa tasted like a generic brand. Panini needs some more fillings. Flat bread was good. Hot Mocha was quite hot.

We stopped at Turtle Leaf Cafe last week, following a visit with a friend who lives in Elmira. None of the tables were wiped down/clean. Our food took a long while to be served, and was abruptly placed in a stack on our table in take out containers. The server did not speak to us or try to give the orders to the correct customers. She rudely asked us if we were eating there. She said she wanted to close early, because she was having a bad day, We met other people there, it was snowing and we had nowhere else to eat. Our salad was missing ingredients including our protein, which we paid for. My wife's pita bread was stale. I was told they had gluten free bread, but ended up with lettuce wrapped around mysterious ingredients, not what I ordered. My brother in-law is vegetarian and he had meat in a very soggy pita, The carrots were dried up and inedible. Unfortunately we paid when we ordered. It was $69. for lousy food, there was 4 of us. The health department needs to close this place down!
Came here to try something different than Dunkin for a quick breakfast. Ordered a chef salad, plain bagel with cream cheese, and 3 drinks for $35. Yikes. When our dine-in food arrived at our table (without a single word) it was placed on the table in plastic to-go containers. Their Facebook page shows proper cutlery and glassware, but we weren’t offered it and the other dine in customers were eating out of plastic too. My salad was missing several toppings, and when asked I was told “we are out of tomatoes and we haven’t had eggs years.” The person who didn’t speak a word giving us our food didn’t bring drinks, cream cheese, or 2 sets of utensils so I had to go ask for them. Will not be returning.
The food was sub par. The price is not a reflection of food served unfortunately. The cafe smelled to the point I wish I had ordered to go but to my surprise after sitting down my food was delivered to me in to go containers? If you are going to ask here or to go you should be offering plates etc. Coffee was burnt. Pretty disappointed.
Trip hazards- about fell on my way out…
Hopeful you can make changes for future guests.
Food is delicious! Only two people working so it's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. There's free lemon water availabile, although the place could be cleaner. On the pricier side.
Had avsalad and coffee. It was really good.
