There are more Italian restaurants than you can count in the area but in my opinion, few of them come close to Casaletto for service, quality and a fair price. There is 'eating out' and 'dining' out ; Casaletto is a fine example of the latter. Real waiters who do it for a living. Excellent food and generous portions. Paul, the owner and the whole staff engage their customers and really care about the quality of your experience. When you enter you get a big hello and when you leave you get a hearty and sincere thank you. When they ask you, 'how was it....' they actually mean it and care. I'd be willing to guess that 90% of their business is repeat by regulars who know and appreciate fine dining at a fair price. Let me get to the food. Be prepared to bring a 'doggie bag' home because the portions are more than generous. Every chicken dish my family and I have had was much better than anything I make at home. The fish is fresh and they will prepare it 'your' way if you have a particular preference. The steak is huge and is as good as any high-end steak house in the area and is much more reasonably priced. The pastas are excellent and get treated with the respect a house-made pasta deserves. Seafood is everything good seafood should be. The calamari is the best I have ever tasted. They tempt you with daily 'specials' that are more than worth consideration. I have had a few 'events' there for 10 people or more and there was nothing but praise for the service and quality of the food. Parking is not a problem since they have their own lot. No bumper car strip mall antics here. A gem right under your nose, Westchester! I'm going to have the pork chops next time I go.
I ordered simple spaghetti with no sauce for my kids. The restaurant called me because the cake (desert) was out of stock and while on the phone I clarified again that there should be no sauce on the spaghetti. It arrived with sauce all over it. My kids were crying and had to go to bed. It was a quite frustrating moment.

Ate here with my family to celebrate a birthday. The food was pretty good. The not so good was staff, service and additional items being snuck on the bill.
There were maybe four tables occupied in the restaurant and it was tough to get a drink refill. After each course, dirty plates remained, even through the entire meal.
The parts I did not like were two things. They serve spicy peppers with the bread basket. We asked the gentleman who dropped them at the table if they had less spicy peppers and his response was “I’ll bring you sweet ones.” Then, when ordering dessert, we asked if they could put a candle in one of the desserts for someone’s birthday which our waiter said “of course.”
When the bill arrived we were taken aback when we saw they charged us $10 for the 3 sweet peppers we were offered. There was no mention that these were not free like the hot ones. The most shocking was they charged $6 for the birthday candle! This was labeled on the bill as “birthday cake.” We questioned the waiter about why one dessert was $6 more and were told it was for the cost of the sparkler candle. Some restaurants comp dessert for the birthday individual. This place was charging us for the dessert which is completely fine but $6 for a candle. That’s insane! At least have the courtesy of telling a customer that a candle is a $6 up charge.
People check your bills for extra items and do yourselves a favor and don’t tell them it’s your birthday unless you are okay paying $6 for a sparkler that last about 30 seconds.

Castleton was ok, not the best place we've ever been, but good. Food was good, service ok. We were there for a function. There was a DJ, at one point one of the waiters started to dance near a female guest, at first she played along. Later when she was on the dance floor he proceeded to join her on the dance floor. When he started to whisper in her ear, that's when she put an end to it. Not professional, not respectable, completely out of line. What kind of people do they hire here, should I be worried if I take my family there? I don't think I'll be returning to Casaletto.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the front desk clerk at the hotel where we were staying nearby. The clerk said it was good, but we were blown away! Our entrees were creative in composition and absolutely delicious. The service was prompt, attentive, and very pleasant. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the fine quality delivered.
We strongly recommend Casaletto to anyone passing along the I-287 corridor east of the Mario Cuomo / Tappan Zee Bridge.
