Ordered lunch sushi to go. Most disgusting and old rice i have ever had on sushi. Thank god i didnt get poisoning from this. You want decent and fresh sushi, go to Sushi King. Avoid sushi here.

Our first time here, and it won’t be our last. Chakara has an extensive sushi/sashimi menu with some very interesting rolls but for our first meal we chose to select the daily catch sashimi and the spicy maki combo (salmon, tuna and California rolls). The fish were all fresh and delicious, beautifully presented. The wasabi was spicy and the gari and Daikon radish nicely complimented our meals. Loved the miso soup! Since all of the fish must be flown in from both coasts we didn’t feel the cost was excessive as the quality was obvious, and our meals were delicious.

The most inviting and delicious sushi! The Caterpillar Roll and the Honey Sandwich were our favorite. Great service and clean and nicely decorated atmosphere.

Why have I not been here before now?? The food was EXCELLENT!
We started with the Steam Pork Buns--buns were light and fluffy and the stuffing was savory and delicious.
Then we shared a chef special entree: Chakara Chicken over Udon Noodles--the glaze was sweet and flavorful and the udon noodles soaked it up perfectly. My dining partner appreciated the doneness of the vegetables included in the dish (they weren't raw and they weren't mushy).
We also shared 2 signature sushi rolls: Fall In Love Roll--1. I would have enjoyed the lobster salad with avocado and tempura flakes that is on top of the sushi. 2. The topping went perfectly with the rest of the roll (salmon tataki, asparagus, and crab stick).
Passion Roll--this was my favorite if i had to pick a favorite (nothing was even remotely close to just plain good) YUM
Vegetarian options: Clearly marked items as "MV: Make Vegan" As well as a section labeled Make Your Own that is all vegetables--but you can add meats if you wish.

Parking: A handful along the front and side, with a larger parking area in the back.
Kid-friendliness: While we didn't bring our kids here yet, we will in the future. I'll bet there are multiple items the kids would enjoy. The table behind us had 3 kids ages ranging from 9-13 (guessing).
