Very disappointing. Food was stone cold both appetizers and main entrees. Won't go back again. Andy I did tell my server everything was cold and she said nothing but presented the bill.

Great fresh sushi, with a diverse and varied menu. The shrimp tempura half of the first kiss roll was one of the best sushi rolls we've had. Sashimi was great. Would definitely visit for take out or dine-in again.

AMAZING. hands down Chakara is now my absolute favorite sushi place around. The food quality is always fresh and presentation is fantastic. I can't rave about this place enough! The yellowtail jalapeño and avocado ball are now my new favorites! My boyfriend says try the honey sandwich, but we also love the wonton soup! The restaurant is nice and clean and put together, the servers are on point and work as a team, service is speedy and friendly! We went a while ago and Andy the owner was so nice and welcoming, he's a great host! Gotta give him props for the tight ship he runs! Then we went again for Valentine's Day! Highly highly recommend! Maybe we will see ya there!!

Absolutely fantastic! Great atmosphere great service and amazing quality of food. I have a very high standard for sushi and this place takes the cake. I recommend any of their specials and the wonton soup is probably the best I've ever had at a sushi restaurant. However the bar isn't that comfortable to sit at, I wish there was more leg room- your knees hit the front of the bar but that's okay, there are plenty of other places to sit. If you are a sushi lover I highly recommend this place ! You won't be disappointed.

I have driven past this place hundreds of time and for some reason never stopped in. Boy, am I kicking myself now.I went with 3 other folks and we like to try a lot of things when we go to a place the first time. We had three apps; shrimp shumai, spicy garlic boneless wings, and spicy wontons. Each was portioned well and delicious. Not too spicy for the people with me that don't like a lot of heat, but just enough to satisfy someone who likes it hot.I tried the dan dan noodles and a Caterpillar roll. Both were very good, and again a good amount of food. I really liked that there were options for the noodles too. I went with udon. Other entrées were Kaeng Phet (red curry sauce) over noodles, another noodle dish that was fairly spicy and served with a bunch of protein and veggies. The last person just ordered two different specialty rolls, and both were unique and flavorful.This place isn't cheap, but it can be if you don't order a ton like we did. Had a good Sake selection too. Lastly, our server was amazing. She was pleasant and attentive and offered great suggestions. It's not a big place, but that's part of the charm. Totally going to be making this place a regular part of the rotation since it's like 5 minutes from my house ?

Every time we eat here, the food has been amazing! Extremely flavorful and delicious. Prices are steep compared to other Asian/Japanese restaurants, so we only go on special occasions. The value for the food is there, but it would be nice if they offered some type of dinner meal options for larger families. Besides the food, the service here is absolutely phenomenal! The waiter we have often is extremely kind and patient. It seems like all of the workers here are very happy and enjoy their job, which is nice to see. Definitely try the passion roll, it’s our favorite and the flavor combination is excellent.

Absolutely loved the sushi here! The waiter was super kind to us, plenty of seating, clean, and absolutely mouth watering food. Get the asparagus, avocado, and the cooked California rolls, those were amazing with flavor! The pineapple and chicken fried rice was also delicious as well as the edamame. The mochi was also very good. I also really liked the chill atmosphere of this place. Overall, highly recommend this place for sushi!

When I first moved to the Rochester area, I had a really hard time finding really good places to eat. Regarding Japanese cuisine, I have probably tried every single restaurant within a 20-mile radius from the city. This one is simply the best.
