FBC on University recently hosted a private event for a large group. They were amazing to work with and could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely be back!

I recently visited Fairport Brewing Company and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the bartender (Kristen, I think?) was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. However, I was disappointed by the beer quality. While the ambiance was pleasant and quaint, the brews were far below average in flavor and lacked the depth I expected from a craft brewery. If you're looking for great service and don't mind compromising on the beer quality, this might be the spot for you.

Very small and homey. Beer was very good. Service was exceptional. Christy was Amazing! Very attentive and engaging. She took care of everyone quickly and efficiently. I will be back. Open Mike night too.

Great place for events.

Hands down best beer in Fairport. Not only is the beer great, but the variety of beverage choices is endless with new beers coming out frequently. Every so often, I try something new. For example, last month I had their mead (their ginger mead) and it was fantastic. Also, I love the environment. The Fairport location is quaint inside and when weather permits, the outside patio is awesome (fire pits, live music, burgers and dogs, and beer).

It’s such a cute place, great location, nice people…. BUT there is something very wrong with the beer. The beer tastes like cleaning chemicals.

Tiny bar with great atmosphere. Beer was not award winning but did the job. Couple of outside brews from local vendors saved the day. Still recommend as Fairport is a great area.

Beer is terrible. Location is great. Good music. If you’re more about the location and love mediocre at best beer then this place is for you.

Great outdoor place to hear live bands with ample seating and craft beer to enjoy. Brian Lindsay Band was rocking the place on a beautiful warm summer evening!

We went on a Friday afternoon and there was only one bartender, so things were a bit backed up. At one point the owner came in to help with an issue with one of the kegs and we asked if he could cash us out because we were just standing there with our beers that we had just gotten, and he just pointed at the busy bartender and said, “she’ll take care of it.” ??‍♀️??‍♀️The beer was good, and the outdoor environment was really nice. The lady who ran the grille was also excellent, and the food was good. We met a lot of dogs, and a couple nice people.Just unfortunate that as out of towners, we witnessed the owner treating his business with such disregard. Hope he turns that around in the future and either starts helping out, or stays away.

Hi,If you're going to have a great band on a beautiful Sunday night. You probably should have more than one bartender. Having to wait inline for 20 minutes, is never good for business.

Another great time at FBC! Sipped on a spectacular sour beer while watching one of the best bands of the Steel Rails weekend: The Fornieri Brothers. I only had time for a few so I tried their light beer selection. At 4.0 APV it was refreshing, carbonated and light. Great space right on the corner. The bartender inside was friendly offering me samples and I tipped him accordingly. Thanks for a great time--see you soon. I need to get back to the University location soon!

The location for this brewery is amazing but that doesn’t make up for the beer. The beer I had at this establishment was far from perfect. I sampled multiple different beers and they all lacked flavor and had a very similar strange after taste. Unfortunately the best beverage on their tap was the cider. I can’t speak on the kombucha.

I am leaving this review from a place of concern and not disdain as I truly want to see the best for this brewery; I will start my review by saying the tap list was vast with many options and the service was fantastic, especially considering how busy of a night it was (for reference; Friday, July 14th, not sure of the servers name) and being the only server behind the bar. I genuinely appreciate that this brewery supports local musicians and that we had some easy listening covers of notable classics to enjoy. With all that being said I believe there is cross contamination between the Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast in the Kombucha and the beer. My group of 4 tried at least 8 of the beers on tap and they all have the same sour, borderline rotten finish on the palette, and based on other reviews people have noticed it. I won’t say that I am a professional by any stretch of the imagination but I have been studying and practicing for long enough to understand what a cross contamination tastes like and at least 8 other people in line were also talking about the off flavors present in the beer and discussing other options as I could hear them speaking directly behind me. I don’t know if you ferment and keg all of it in the same fermenters and kegs but based on the taste a pretty bad outbreak has occurred and if you are using the same kegs and fermenters for both products I would cut operations on that as soon as possible, and even separate the brew houses as bacterial contamination can spread like wildfire and it is extremely important to keep them completely separated. At first I thought it was the lines, but I had a Jostaberry cider made at Blue Barn Cider and it was the only palatable drink I tried off the tap leading me to firmly believe this is without a doubt a bacterial contamination. I hope you guys can figure it out and get it under control. I will be back in a few months and hope for an improvement in quality. Again I am no professional, but I tried the stout, fluffy ipa, blonde ale, blueberry wit, the sour, and Apollo and they all shared the same sour off flavors.Sincerely,A concerned customer.
