Me and my family have been dining at the Farmingdale Melting Pot location for years. Joe was our waiter and went above and beyond to make our celebration special with a custom, hand crafted dessert!!??? At first we planned on ordering the Chocolate Explosion package with sparklers, which was great , but Joe surprised us with this absolutely amazing and thoughtful presentation of a Rice Krispy Treat number inspired dessert that blew us away. Thank you Joe for the best 100K milestone celebration? It was extra sweet with the Chocolate Explosion and Custom Dessert (the best of both worlds!!) Since we booked this recent reservation over the phone, I wrote the Open Table review from on of our bookings in November. But the celebration was April 23rd

Always a good time. Fun night out with a hands on dinning experience. Definitely isn’t a quick night out if you want the full experience but worth it. Always have a great time and awesome food. Always able to accommodate for gluten allergyDietary restrictions: Gluten Free
Great service, the meat course was inedible, not tasty, we were 5 ppl and all didn't enjoy the meat, chowing and putting on the plate... cheese course and chocolate were good. Very small portions were given, and very big prices were charged! As n executive chef: I say it's a horrible experience- to have bd food quality and get charged for a premium, I would not recommend this place.

Great food and excellent service. Can't believe past this place so many times. Hard to tell from the outside, but inside the place is a hidden gem. Spacious yet cozy, quiet atmosphere. We started off with a couple of cocktails, of which the Peach Cosmo was amazing. My wife rarely finishes a drink, but this one was so good she had two! With some help from our friendly waitress Lauren, we decided upon the four-course dinner for two. Starting with the cheddar cheese fondue was a delight. The rich texture and spices made for an excellent appetizer. The California salad with Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette was delicious, as was the Melting Pot salad. For the main course, we chose the Steak Lovers and Land and Sea entrees. Lauren was very helpful in explaining the cooking procedure, which in itself enhanced the whole experience. For dessert, we chose the Yin Yang chocolate fondue, which is a mix of black and white chocolates in which to dip an assortment of fruits and little snacks; the perfect ending. Overall, the food and service are top-shelf. The staff is very attentive, the portions are generous yet reasonably priced. Now that we know, we'll be back.
Lauren is the most fabulous server. She is so knowledgeable with food allergies. She is helpful and a wonderful resource. She is kind and made for a wonderful experience! We'll definitely be back and request her!

The service was absolutely terrible. Even the table next to us complained about our mutual server. He turned the burner on then disappeared for 30 minutes before even serving drinks. We had to ask other servers what happened to our server after each course. He could not even make a loaded bake potato fondue I commented to him thats not how they make it the burner was on so long even the potato melted . I come here pretty often and this ruined our experience not sure if i will return.

If you love cheese fondue this is the place for you. So delicious.Dietary restrictions: I was with someone who has gluten, soy and lactose intolerance and he was able to do both a meat and a chocolate fondue. It made his night.

Melting Pot is the perfect restaurant for all those special moments in life. My girlfriend and I have been going to Melting Pot for our birthdays and anniversary’s for the past couple years. When dining one day we were served by Analiese. She was by far the best server we had there. Every time since then we make sure she is our server because she goes above and beyond. She paces our meal perfectly, and is always very attentive. Dining last night was no different, she did everything to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience.

I’ve been here many times with my husband, and tonight we celebrated our first Valentine’s Day married. Although it was the most crowded we’ve ever seen it, our server Lauren made it a wonderful and pleasant experience. She remembered everything we ordered even though I’m sure she had so many other tables to remember. She was very attentive when she came to our table and came by in between orders to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a delicious meal and a great experience!
