I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this great restaurant. happy to tell that we passed a tremendous evening and the place was definitely the reason for that strong evening. The stuff collaborated in a very nice way, the meals were extremely good and my friends were so glad. We shall no dout visit again for more events. Thank you very much.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Fishkill. Food is ALWAYS excellent. Lots of creamy NY Style Italian food. Much love for this hidden gem in town. I have not been in awhile but always a pleasure to eat here. I am curious if they are opening back up after COVID. I HOPE they do because their food is just amazing. I also received a gift card for a wedding present last March and haven't got a chance to use it because it's been closed. When will you be opening ?? I hope soon!! Looking forward to a good meal!

The food and service were above our expectations. I surely loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. Nice spot to take the family out for lunch.

I never had time to post this until now, but I came to Il Barilotto in February to celebrate my anniversary, and the service was SO horrible and disappointing we ended up leaving. It started out completely fine, then progressively got worse as the night went on. So we arrive for our 7pm dinner reservation, and the host explains that the wait is 20 minutes. So we wait. 20 minutes go by. 45 minutes go by. Then it's over an hour. The host keeps reassuring us it'll be soon. And it's fine, we actually don't mind the wait. Then finally, the owner (or manager?) informs us that we will be seated next. Great! He even points out the table that's apparently being cleared for us. But next thing we know, a different group of people is being seated there instead. Kinda annoying. We definitely don't appreciate the oversight, or the fact that they haven't been truthful about the wait, whatever the case may be. But we have a reservation, and it's a busy Friday night, so we figure it'll be soon enough. Although... isn't the point of making a reservation so you don't have to wait? Anyway, when we are finally seated, we order drinks and I'm carded by the waiter. Ok, no problem, I hand over my ID. The waiter IMMEDIATELY questions it, because it's an out-of-state driver's license. He then proceeds to WALK AWAY with my ID in hand (?!) and brings it to the other waitstaff to inspect it. We're literally watching him show it to as many different people as he can, including the bartender and the manager. Basically he's making an over-the-top, unnecessarily big deal about it. We can actually hear him going on and on about it like a glorified detective, looking over to our table, pointing me out. He thinks there's something "suspicious" about the issue date, the expiration date, my date of birth, the state, etc etc etc. The diners sitting near us can overhear, without a doubt. It makes me feel uncomfortable and guilty for absolutely no reason. I just came here to enjoy a nice dinner on my anniversary, and this is kinda ruining it. This waiter honestly could've just asked me if I had an alternate ID from the get-go, and it would've been that simple. In the end, it's me who volunteers to show my passport. Yes, my PASSPORT. And lo and behold: it's the exact same information as my drivers license. Who would seriously make a reservation at an overpriced Italian restaurant, then wait for over an hour, just to underage drink a single glass of wine? It's baffling how idiotically and poorly they handled this. So after all that, a different waitress FINALLY comes to our table to take our food order and serve us water. It's already been forever. But she offers zero apology for the wait, or for the negligence over my ID. And now I'm looking at the prices on the menu, and at the time on my phone, and at the annoying face of that detective/waiter with the severe power complex, and I decide it's 100% not worth it. At this point we're just so hungry and fed up with the poor service, that we get up and head straight for the door. There was no way we were giving them our business after that, and I'm SO glad we decided not to. We went to an Outback instead, and it was a way better and much more enjoyable anniversary dinner. I'd never go back to this restaurant ever again, or recommend it to anyone--especially someone visiting from out of town, because the waitstaff clearly isn't trained to understand out-of-state IDs.

Lovely old school restaurant. The way it is suppose to be.

Although we had a bit of a wait for our reservation, the food was well worth the wait. Everything was excellent.

We had a great dinner here back in Oct. 2019. The owners of a local wine shop recommended the place. They were having dinner there the same night. (We wound up having a cocktail with them later). We started with a nice Brussel Sprout appetizer and the mussels. Very well done. I had the Gnocchetti Alla Bolognese nicely done with hearty wild boar bolognese. My wife had the Strozzapreti Alla Salsiccia Nostrana, called 'priest chokers' for their shape with crumbled sausage and peas in a delicious light cream sauce. The wines were reasonably priced, and we finished with a sweet little Tartufo. We are from the NY metro area and eat out often. This place was excellent.

What can I say, octopus salad, shrimp in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce and lamb shanks done perfectly, fall off the bone perfect. My wife had a whiskey straight up and I had a jack Daniels Manhattan, they were so good we both had two each. We went on a Sunday around 5:15 pm, they open at 5:00 on Sunday, we were lucky, we got the last table, when we left two hours later they three deep waiting at the bar for tables. Desert was shared an ice cream tower, cookie on the bottom, vanilla ice cream then chocolate ice cream then their own chocolate sauce poured over it in front of us. Definitely going back

I love this restaurant. The meals are pricey but that's for a reason, the quality of the food is outstanding. I wouldn't have enough room to say everything wonderful about this place. Just go!!

The Veal chop was out of this world incredible. It was cooked to perfection and was served with mashed potatoes and deliciously sauteed spinach. The ricotta served with the bread is really fresh and delicious. The service was great and I cannot wait to go back. It would be hard for me to try another item because the veal chop was so incredible. But let's see what happens next time around.

This restaurant was very good. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. My girlfriend and I both got gluten free pasta dishes and they were some of the best we've ever had. This place did not disappoint. We will return in the near future.

It’s so hard to find a good gf pasta but this place hands down has the Best gf pasta I’ve ever had! The flourless chocolate cake is nothing like gf sweets you find at a store! I’m already looking forward to coming back!
