“Both my husband and I don’t get out much these days with two small children so when we finally had a date night we wanted to try il traverna. It was absolutely beautiful inside the food was wonderful the drinks were okay. I only say that because i definitely ordered the wrong drink. Next date night we would 100% go back and recommend it for anyone to try.”
“We happened to be in town for the night and came across this restaurant. We decided to give it a try. The building appeared to be an older, perhaps historical building, but I am not certain. The waitress was very helpful and accommodating. The food was quite good.”
“My wife and I were up on a hiking trip from NYC and staying at a hotel in the same little office park as the restaurant. It was a wonderful surprise to read some foodie reviews and find this place so close by. There are some reviewers here who were far too harsh and appear to be fellow citizens of the Indian subcontinent. Now, I'm no connoisseur of Indian cuisine and have yet to visit India, but I have eaten a lot of Indian food from many restaurants in NYC, and none were better than Gymkhana. If I lived up here with so few choices in cuisine (as compared to NYC) I would count myself very lucky, indeed, to have Gymkhana in the neighborhood. The rack of lamb was the most outstanding thing we had and the---I'm forgetting the name of the bread---the inflated bread---was very tasty. Everything was good, and we had a lot of leftovers.”
“Our whole family had a rare Friday off so we met for lunch at Oda since we all wanted to try it. We were offered both lunch and dinner menus along with specials which we appreciated. They bought us straight out of the oven delicious dinner rolls with both tapenade dip and honey butter ( we requested the butter ) and when we finished them they bought out more ! There were six of us and everyone enjoyed the food ! I had the white sangria and it came in a large cocktail glass and tasted like more . The calamari was cooked perfect.. tender and crunchy at the same time. We tried the prosciutto, peach and gorgonzola Panini ( so good ) steak panini and a steak sandwich . The steak was tender, cooked well and great flavor… only thing that could make it better would be a lil more meat . We all opted for apps and lunch however we did like the dinner menu and will definitely go back ! We felt welcomed and they took great care of us ! Wish I took pics but we were enjoying the food and company .”
“We stopped in for lunch after seeing so many great reviews. Lunch did not disappoint! We got 4 dips to start and a chicken platter with fries to share. Greek salads came out first with a really nice, light, zippy dressing. From the dip platter our favorite was the spicy feta dip, followed by the tzasiki. When the chicken arrived it was very moist and oregano forward as you might expect. And the fries were wedges -- crispy outside and super creamy inside. We don't pass through too often but this place left a great impression and we will be back!!”
“Came here for a daddy/daughter Date after the Tall/Small Ball. Definitely enjoyed the service. Was met with a smile. The space is very nice. Nice decor and seating. Very spacious. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. Outdoor seating available.I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy.Food was great. I'm a pizza head. This place was definitely hitting. Had the Margherita and another pie (the other non pork option)Very tasteful. My little one, also a pizza buff, enjoyed it as well. She thanked the chef. She also loved their complimentary bread offering with sauce and olive oil. Will definitely pull up again with family and the motorcycle...especially with the outdoor seating right next to parking spots. I'm a fan.”
“Had takeout and food was much better than before. All dishes were excellent. Also they stopped using styrofoam which is why I originally stopped getting takeout. We had spring rolls, chicken satay, pad Thai, and chicken cashew entree. I wonder if they have new owners.”
“I've lived in the area for 23 years. Pizza places have come and gone in that time without leaving an impression. Pizza and Stuff is honestly the best tasting pizza I've had in a while. I am outside their normal delivery range (have to order thru Doordash if I want delivery) but I will 1000% order from them once a week and pick it up on the way home. Their pizza tastes great and their staff are always friendly and welcoming. The storefront might be a bit small, but it's homey and comfortable. You can never go wrong ordering from these guys. I highly recommend them, even over much closer pizza parlors.Dietary restrictions: Able to accommodate gluten free and veganWheelchair accessibility: Door is directly accessible from the street level”
“I love the Korean food at Toro. My favorite dish is Bulgogi with "the works", which is somewhat similar to a fajita except you wrap the beef in lettuce with red pepper paste and some rice and spice and also receive some sides such as broccoli, oshinko, a Japanese radish, pickled cucumber, and Kim Chee, which is spicy cabbage. My mouth is watering as I'm describing this dish! It is fantastic!”
“As far as Halal food goes, I've had my fair share, especially Chicken and Rice meals. These guys are hands down these best tasting by far. Their rice is so delicious, they have a seasoned rice that is mixed in that is bright red in color, that just catapults it into addicting territory. Also the white sauce always taste fresh and is better than most as well. If your looking for chicken or even lamb with rice to eat, you hit the jackpot going here. Highly recommend it. 3 stars for atmosphere only because it's a gas station, but these guys are all very nice and cool people. Definitely will make this a weekly dinner”
“Went here wanting a quick lunch, got the margarita pizza and fried mozzarella. The sauce was rich, fried mozzarella was super crispy, and the pizza had a nice crunch but was also soft, would definitely come here again.”
“DBC is so consistent with their amazing food and service that it makes it hard to go try other places when you know you will get consistency here. Great and tasty beer. Amazing burgers. So delicious fries! Appetizers all yummy. I came recently on a night with my wife and something that stood out for me that visit was when I watched one of the owners clearing a table. I made sure to make to tell them how admirable that was but so often you will see managers in other restaurants telling others to clean while they stand and watch them. The fact that the owners help out on the small tasks means how invested they are with their staff and business. We just asked my 4 year old last night what his favorite restaurant is and he said with confidence Dutchess Bier Cafe! Not sure if you’re aware but 4 year olds are picky eaters and he loves their burgers, fries, and makes sure that he can get the malt vinegar aioli! Thank you for being consistent but truly amazing!Kid-friendliness: My boys 4 and 7 love going and eating their Lil Dutchies!”
“I’ve been to Cilantro twice. It has mixed reviews, but I’m not one to be scared off by those. The first time I had the enchiladas de mole poblano y pollo. I try mole often because I love chocolate and the idea of it in a sauce intrigues me. Cilantro’s mole is the best I’ve ever tasted with a richness and depth of flavor I haven’t had elsewhere. My husband had the chicken taco salad and was impressed as well. They did not skimp on the chicken and it didn’t taste like Cisco chicken. Last night I had the black bean and mango salad. It was good but I ate some of it with chips as it was sweet and their salsa is sweet too. House margs are $1.50 off during happy hour - bringing them to $8.50 at the time of this review. José was attentive and my meal came quickly last night.”
“$13 burrito could compete in Southern California. Incredible flavors and perfect ratios of rice/beans/chicken/salsa. When I held my burrito, I thought I had dinner/lunch ready to go... Never made it past dinner. This is arguably the best burrito in the Fishkill/Beacon area.”
“I first visited the 84 diner back in the early 80ies. They were just great everything s diner could be. Including lobster fresh out of the tank.Well that was then. Changes had to be made. Competition stole a lot of business.Recently I went again and I was so surprised. I love their Salads, always have been better than redline. But now every thing is better. All the items on the menue is upgraded.I had the onion soup and the chef salad. Soup seemed home made and my he bowl was bigger the crusted bread was gooy with cheese. And you got a decent amount of soup. The salad was as always top notch. My wife's hamburger was really fresh and flavorful and the fries tasted better than they ever have.”
