“Our family celebrated our son’s baptism in their beautiful event space. We could not have asked for more. The space was perfect with our own bar and bathroom. The food and service was amazing! “So I stroll in to this place looking for the next great pizza find and BOOM! This place is a great throw back atmosphere! Counter and table seating. The service is excellent with a great attitude towards the customer. I had what they call Grandma's Pizza. I would say I would be hard pressed to find better pizza! Bar Stool would grade this in the high 7-8 range. I had to have a second then a THIRD slice! I did not want to leave! Great place, great, great slice!”

“My first time here. A couple of friends who’ve visited establishment numerous had treated us to dinner here. Nice looking place! I am loving and digging that chef statue they have near the entrance. Brings back some fond memories of being a chef and cook who had worked in several of food establishments! I had the 12 ounce burger with French fries and American cheese. Burger was cooked to perfection well done. Fries had good flavor. Sampling the onion rings and salad for appetizers while awaiting main course. Waitress Maddie and her assistant I didn’t get the gentleman’s name they both provided excellent service!! Very attentive and thorough with any questions we had about the foods we ordered. Food was excellent I enjoyed everything! Had a blast! I don’t eat out often much anymore but this was a great treat and experience! Rest of company also ordered burgers and was happy with everything! Yeehaw! Hoorah!?”

“We can’t say enough great things about Benmarl winery. The service was excellent, and the wines were fantastic. My wife and I were there for their Valentines Day wine and cheese tasting and it did not disappoint. They were very attentive to all of the customers needs, and everyone around us looked like they were having as great of a time as we were. Also- the view is unbelievable, you have to experience it for yourself. I would highly recommend taking a trip to Benmarl, it was the highlight of our trip!”

“During an aimless upstate NY drive today my friend and I stumbled upon this winery and on a whim went for a quick wine tasting. That was our intention at least, what we experienced today was nothing short of spectacular. Very unique wines that opened my eyes and my palate to what really old school winemaking can look like. Steve is very well educated and extremely passionate about wine/spirits and makes no apologies for it. He is a joy to listen to and I wish we could’ve stayed twice as long to taste more things and enjoy his company. I’m going to be returning with a larger group in the near future and can’t wait to share this experience. Steve and Kim you rock!”

“Wow - a truly wonderful surprise in Highland! My brother and I stopped by for dinner recently and were blown away by how good this place is. We ordered a phenomenal sizzling fish and pork over rice, both were delicious.The owner is also wonderful and welcoming - it feels like having dinner with family. Whether you live nearby or are just passing through the area, Hapag is really worth stopping by for a special and delicious meal. Apparently they'll also do a special platter style shared dinner if you have a party larger than 5 - hopefully we'll get to try that someday!”

“Absolutely loved this place! If I lived in the area I would go every day, it is the best coffee I've ever had. We got the hazelnut latte and a pistachio caramel latte. Both amazing and not too sweet, perfectly balanced. Also got the cardamom bun which paired nicely! The baristas were knowledgeable of their menu and very welcoming to our large group. I wish we could take this place home!”

However I would prefer if they have live music, would be more fun for having a good time & stay longer.Definitely one of my go to spot in Hudson Valley.”

“Delicious and authentic food, great service, and reasonable prices. We got the shrimp rolls, Tom yum soup, green curry, and pad Thai with tofu. I love that the green curry had a lot of veggies especially my fave bamboo shoots! The pad Thai was also deliciously saucy and the noodles were cooked perfectly and not mushy. Everything was presented very cleanly and portions were great! Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner.”

“My family and I have wanted to dine at Tamarind since we’ve moved to Hudson Valley 2 years ago. We finally made it there for my husband’s birthday and loved it. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the restaurant was clean. The service was superb and the food was delicious. Shalito was helpful with the menu selections and patient with all of our questions. We ordered the Thai non vegi lunch special and the lamb curry which was delish. The lunch special allowed us to try different things including a veggie, two different types of chicken and a dessert. It came with basmati rice and naan. We are definitely coming back and definitely recommend you not waste time trying them out.”

The food was flavorful and the servers attention was extraordinary. While we live on the other side of the Hudson, we are already planning our next trip. The portions were so big, we couldn’t eat it all because we were also saving room for desert. Our only regret was we didn’t get to try the coquito cheesecake as they were all out. “This is my favorite place in Poughkeepsie!!! I travel through here often and I will always stop for a great meal and sangria here. The service is the best, they make you feel like family! The food is so good, I always get steak and chicken fajitas and tacos with ground beef. I just love it here. I go out of my way to come here at least 4-6 times a year!!!”
