Tuna melt, Caesar salad and vanilla milkshake. All were good. The staff are welcoming and receptive to any modifications you have. You can hear utensils clatter as they make your order.The atmosphere is comfortable and old-fashioned. There are many floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for natural light and a darker corner in the back.Overall, a nice place to be. I enjoyed my experience.
I just want to give a little backstory before sharing my review for Alex's Restaurant in Poughkeepsie.Growing up in a small town of Ridgefield, Connecticut, my family and I went out to a small breakfast place downtown called Gail's Station House every Sunday morning. Their decor was all "shabby-chic" with mismatched old fashioned wooden chairs and tables.
