“Absolutely amazing store! Helpful staff, superb selection, and a surprisingly fun experience for a quick stop. We were tourists passing through and ended up learning so much about local ciders and products that it felt like a mini tour. If you like cider or wine and are passing through, definitely make a pit stop! Have a great selection of hard to find whiskies as well.

We actually happened upon the store on our way to a friend’s house for wine and were so impressed that we stopped back on our way out when we had more time to explore.

On our first visit, we were pleasantly surprised by the diverse selection of wines and how knowledgeable and helpful the staff were. They were happy to make recommendations, and I was especially excited to find several Portuguese wines that we love.

On our second trip, we decided we needed to explore the cider selection. They have a HUGE selection, with 100+ options, several on tap, and some uncommon cider products I was excited to learn about, including Pommeau and Ice Cider.

Gennaro was an incredible resource and clearly has a genuine passion for cider. With so many options, it was great to have someone who could help narrow down the choices. He also gave us a mini education on cider, Pommeau, and Ice Cider that honestly felt worthy of a distillery tour! With so many options, I decided I couldn't pass up the opportunity to stock-up beyond the capacity of my carry-on. Gennaro even went out of his way to carefully box up my purchases so they would have the best chance of making it through the airline luggage system.

The selection, knowledgeable staff, and overall experience really can’t be beat. They also seem to have lots of events, tasting opportunities and fun excuses to stop in. We came in expecting to grab a few cans and ended up having one of the more memorable stops of our trip. Highly recommend!“

“The burgers are INSANE, a must order. I loved my caramelized onion/French onion, burger, and the brunch burger with fried egg, both were delicious, probably top burger I ever had.
I forgot to add a picture because I done right in and then before you know it, it was gone before my eyes 😅
The regular size fry $6 was huge and way more then enough to share for 2 hungry adults

“Every once in a while, you stumble across a place that just feels like yours. Obercreek is that place for me.

I’m close enough that it’s a short drive, but far enough that it still feels like an escape. My perfect summer afternoon starts with grabbing a pizza from Stone’s down the road, then wandering over here for a couple of beers while the day slows down.

The beer program is exactly what I want from a neighborhood brewery. They nail the flagship beers, sprinkle in enough thoughtfully crafted seasonal releases to keep things interesting, and never try to overwhelm you with a tap list full of gimmicks. It’s clear they care more about brewing great beer than chasing trends.

If you’ve got kids, bring them. The co-op gardens are fun to wander through, there are usually a few well-loved toys scattered around, and they’ll inevitably end up exploring, getting a little dirty, and having the kind of unstructured afternoon that’s getting harder to find.

Part of me wants to keep this place a secret, because spots like this don’t come around often. But places this good deserve to be supported.

But they were just not nice and was told to “”back up”” because another customer needed to be shown the kiosk options when I was looking at the display.“

“Just had their ice cream for the first time and it was one of the best vegan ice cream I've ever had. Many flavors to choose from including strawberry, pistachio, and chocolate. The chocolate was the best I've ever had. Very rich and decadent. Large servings, even for small. Nice area to sit outside.“

The Green Dragon and Lobster roll were pretty good also. One of the better places for gyoza, very good flavor and texture. If you have kids, get a Shirley Temple for them, nice presentation.“

“I can’t say enough about the party my now son-in-law’s parents hosted here for my daughter and their son’s rehearsal dinner. Everything was perfect! Such warm hospitality was felt by all our guests and the bride and groom had a blast! We were a group of nearly 70, yet the bar was never backed up, and the food delicious and plentiful. From the very beginning, Chris, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since The Beacon Daily typically does not offer direct delivery for a la carte orders, I explained that this lunch was part of a very important three day celebration and that everything needed to be handled with extra care. Without hesitation, Chris personally stepped in, took ownership of the order, and even delivered it himself all the way to Glynwood's Perkins House.
