“DBC is so consistent with their amazing food and service that it makes it hard to go try other places when you know you will get consistency here. Great and tasty beer. Amazing burgers. So delicious fries! Appetizers all yummy. I came recently on a night with my wife and something that stood out for me that visit was when I watched one of the owners clearing a table. I made sure to make to tell them how admirable that was but so often you will see managers in other restaurants telling others to clean while they stand and watch them. The fact that the owners help out on the small tasks means how invested they are with their staff and business. We just asked my 4 year old last night what his favorite restaurant is and he said with confidence Dutchess Bier Cafe! Not sure if you’re aware but 4 year olds are picky eaters and he loves their burgers, fries, and makes sure that he can get the malt vinegar aioli! “I was in Fishkill for a doctor's appointment and it was a hot day so I was looking for a small ice cream place. I was sitting in the CVS parking lot and trying to look on my phone and it kept telling me I was already there. Which I thought was very funny. So I drove around to the back of the plaza to see what stores were open and all the way in the back was this Carnival ice cream shop. The owner was there. He was a very personable older gentleman .He said he makes 3/4 of the ice cream himself. The other ice cream comes from Perry's which is also a good brand. His prices are reasonable maybe even slightly lower than other places locally. He told me his mint chip was the best in the area so I took his word for it. I got a kiddie size mint chip with rainbow sprinkles. It was really tasty! He also does ice cream cakes and has plenty made to go that he can just initialize it for you with whatever you want to say and out you go. He also has individualize little ice creams. You can buy a 12 pack of mini ice creams or mini desserts for very reasonable price. Check out his store and see all the ice cream options that he has. It's a local place he's been there for years so give him some business. But you have to go all the way to the back of the plaza where the Gold's Gym is. So go have a workout and then go get ice cream! LOL. I will be back there in two weeks for my next doctor's appointment who is right across the street so I will make another visit.“
“Whenever I have a special occasion or am charged with "bring a dessert" I love going to The Cakery. They have a wide variety of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, bars, cake pops, and cake balls. Their bakers are real artists who will work with you to create the perfect cake (cookie or traditional) that are as pretty to look at as they are to eat. It's tucked away in a shopping plaza so it can be easy to miss. It's worth the trip. My personal favorites: their bars (cheesecake, brookies) and cake balls (cookie dough is fabulous). Highly recommend if you want a sweet treat for yourself or a special event.“

I've never waited more than a few minutes for my coffee. Coffee is smooth, rich, and delicious. I'm always satisfied with their drinks and it's in a convenient location.“

“Came in for a wine and cider tasting with my husband. I wish I remembered the name of the lovely woman who assisted us, but she was great! She was super knowledgeable about the wines and ciders and gave us really great explanations on everything we tasted. Other than the service everything we tasted was very good. We ended up bringing home 3 bottles and that was hard to bring the choice down from 8. If you are a port or Meade fan I definitely recommend the ice cider!“

“My mother in law and I went to Beacon to celebrate our birthdays and chose the diner for our lunch. They have a wide selection of food on the menu. I had the farmers breakfast wrap and home fries. Mom had her eggs and lox. We didn't see it on the menu but asked the waitress if it was available and she said sure. We were very happy with the service, quality of the food and the prices.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a small diner with a ramp for a wheelchair, walker and stroller accessibility. “I work at the DMV in Beacon and we had our holiday party catered by the Beacon Daily. The food was delicious! Everything was hot and portions were plentiful. Kayleigh was so great to work with and very accomodating. The most beautiful views of upstate NY. The barn is gorgeous!! “I came here a couple of weeks on a Wednesday. I purchase the pineapple soft serve and it was delicious. They have a $1 soft serve on Wednesday. They are also really nice and I tasted differently ice cream flavors. It is a nice place to have ice cream the inside looks like an old fashion ice cream place. I would definitely go back and try other soft serve flavors. The employees were really nice and they let me try many different ice cream flavors.“

“Simple burger spot in Beacon - stopped by to eat a well deserved burger after a long hike. I got the single Dutch Burger ($11) and some fries ($3.50) to go. I loved all the veggies in the burger; lots of spring salad mix, tomatoes, slivered onions and lots of pickle slices. It was a pretty messy burger though, lots of water was on the bottom of my to-go container and the toppings kept on falling out. I thought the patty was a bit on the smaller side and the fries were way too soggy, but overall a decent spot!“

I miss the days when coffee shops were for meeting friends and catching up. While I understand places need to do what they have to do for business, I wish more would limit the hours this is allowed. We were three people and ended up being cramped on a bench near the door because all the tables were taken, mostly by one person on a computer. Felt more like a wework, than a coffee house.“

There was a hot buffet in addition to the menu as well as a special listed on a placard (Jack in the Box) which I got. The place was clean and quiet - just the way I like it. Food was as expected. Mac n cheese bites were pretty much trash - you could tell they came out of a frozen bag. Burger was good - not too big not too small. Came with onions and pickles - perfect! Fries were crispy and delicious. I really liked that they gave ketchup AND ranch with the meal. The special was a smallish burger, fries, Mac n cheese bites, and a drink - all for $8.69. A bargain in this area. I left feeling satisfied and I know I'll be back. They lost a star for the Mac n cheese bites. They should serve up some tostones or baked beans or something. Not enough to chase me away though...“
