Love it here! Portions are awesome. The jerk chicken and rice and peas were amazing. The chicken was super juicy and everything was so flavorful and perfectly spiced. My husband got the oxtail and it was delicious too. Will definitely be back!
My first takeaway was the kind staff, something that always makes food taste better in my opinion. Excellently cooked and spiced rice, beans, and jerk chicken. The plantains were cooked to bring out the natural sugar instead of having raw sugar takeover the taste, something I prefer. The star of the show might have been the beef patty—incredibly flaky pastry concealing a well spiced minced beef. As someone visiting Fishkill, I hope the community appreciates their local gem.
As an NYC native, it’s hard to find good Jamaican food on this side of the Hudson Valley. Mandee aced it. Can’t go wrong with anything they serve here.
