It is always a pleasure to dine at Tanjore in Fishkill, NY. The food is excellent and so is the service. The menu is large and varied. I have never been disappointed in anything i have ordered. The staff is very attentive and accommodate any request we make. Their Dosas are nice and crispy and the Goat curries are the best we have had.

Our first time here. Did not dine in , ordered food to go. Owner was very hospitable towards us. Had an ice cold Taj Mahal while I was waiting for my order enjoy chatting with the manager noticed they had a full buffet available. Will have to come back and try that for sure. A pleasant environment, with soft Indian music playing in the background. Select a few more choices must say it was some of the best Indian food I’ve had in some time. Ordered the chicken tiki masala, alo gobi, sag pannier, lemon rice. Chili garlic naan. Spice level and flavors were spot on! Definitely recommend this place, We will be back!!

I usually enjoy this restaurant but was extremely disappointed in the quality of taste. I ordered 2 lamb vindaloos and asked for extra spice in both. My request was disregarded in the lack of flavor and spice. I had more potatoes than lamb. The sauce was under seasoned and tasted like bland tomato sauce. I called to let them know the flavor wasn’t up to part and even though they offered to remake it. I got a call back stating “the chef said he made it spicy already”…..food was not worth what I payed. I will not be ordering or going back. I encourage and recommend Gymkhana cuisine of India!!!!!!!!!!

This was a great find on our way to Poughkeepsie. The food was super tasty and the service was great. We ended up ordering too much food as we didn't have clarity on the portion sizes, but everything was super tasty.

We went there for lunch after a while. It it seems to have done nice improvement this time we went with a group of friends. We found food choices were good. There was buffet available, which was pretty good for the reasonable price.. they have a lot of improvement. The dishes were delicious. servers were friendly and pleasant.. It has shown a great improvement over past years and I would recommend for anyone who would like to try this place.

Finally! Found a true Indian cuisine taste in the area. Wow! They did not disappoint. The best part it was out of chance and Google ?.
My entry point is always Dal and some Roti. Took it mild as to be able to appreciate the flavors. It took me to a place that I had only reached back in Taste of India (Astoria, NY) and some other place in Miami I can’t recall. It felt natural, made in house, fresh and made by someone that care to preserve and show us what good Indian food feels like. Thank you!
The atmosphere is calm, clean and clear. Well organized and distributed. Neat and quickly rearranged, you feel you are the first one going in.
The service was also up to expectations. Very attentive and diligent. Cyril and another young gentleman took good care of me, even when my order was perhaps simple or not big. I felt welcomed.
