Upon entering the restaurant the diner is greeted by the overwhelming odor of mold and mildew. I walked around for a minute, trying to find a table where the smell was less intense, failed, then grabbed a table that may or may not have been cleaned. There was an unpleasant sticky film on it. A young woman came to take my order. She kept calling tortillas "tortillias." Bad sign. The food was bland and uninspired, and I am quote certain all of it had either previously been frozen or canned, and in that is my only solace from this dining experience. That perhaps if everything came from a can I won't get food poisoning. Fingers crossed. Bad experience. You should probably stay away or go to Tito's in Pine Hill.

We were in the area to ski at Belleayre, and there were not a lot of dining options on a Monday night. We chose La Cabana because it has a bar... the classic margarita on the rocks was perfect. We started with chips and salsa, which were very fresh. We both had the same entree, the vegetarian combination. It was tasty, plenty to eat and very reasonable, though I prefer regular beans to refried beans on the side. The ambiance was so-so, kind of a large bland room, but there was a big wood stove cranking out some welcome heat. The server was very pleasant. Happy we found this place and we'd visit again.

There is not much in town so we tried. I was really put off when the waitress charged an extra $3 for the refill of an ice tea when the first was filled with ice. We do not recommend or would never go back.

Big fan of this place, I live nearby and go regularly. It's great to have authentic Mexican food around here, and the atmosphere is homey and low-key in all the right ways. The staff is also always very nice to me, and there's pool and a jukebox for some entertaining too.

Me and my family came here to see how good the food was here. To my surprise the food was plain and had zero to no flavor in the food. The people who work there seem nice but they really just put no love into their cooking. I would rather you save your money and instead go somewhere like taco bell.

Please don't have any expectations that you might have from previous reviews, this place is dying, may be it was ok before, but NOT NOW!!! Soup is water with tomato paste, nothing in there, only tortillas and some tomato pieces, taste omg.....(((( We ordered steak, they asked: how we would like to cook it , I asked medium, they brought meat hardly say it's the steak at all, meat tasted as chlorine and hard to chew, only rice was good, guacamole was from can that you can buy from any grocery store, not home made or any decent restaurant made, quesadilla is the worse we ever had. And the most exciting part: Margarita...: ..it is margarita mix (that selling in any liquor store) on ice cubes, nothing is there, only that mix and ice cubes, no any tequila inside, salt rim is just name salt rim but nothing is there. SO DISAPPOINTED, WANTED THROW UP, SORRY BUT YOU NEED CLOSE THIS PLACE

This was a very disappointing experience overall. The good: our server was polite and attentive. The bad: while the guacamole was tasty, it was a pretty small appetizer portion, more like a side. For main courses, we had the Enchiladas Suizas and Beef Chimichanga. The chicken in the enchiladas was not like any I've had before – instead of being shredded and tender, it was small, rather hard, chunks. The sauce, what there was of it, was very bland, and I'm not sure what happened to the cheese (the Suizas refers to Swiss, as in cheese). The beef was much the same, and the enclosing tortilla/shell didn't look like it was fried evenly. One thing that was very odd about the menu: substitutions were very highly priced. I would have asked for rice only, no refried beans, but the charge was around $5.00 so I didn't bother, not that it mattered as the rice was also bland and dry. I also found the physical setting off-putting. There was a huge stain on the carpet as you entered the room...not a good sign. We would have left but we were tired after traveling all day, and the restaurant was walkable from our inn.

The Tortilla Soup was the highlight. Soo good! The Margaritas were so worth it and they put in a lot of Tequila. We also had the Nacho and Garlic Shrimp also good. The Churro was wonderful and My kid gobbled up the fried ice cream. There were also a lot of other choices but we were not that hungry. The reasonable prices made it a winner for me.

Authentic Mexican, that tasted freshly prepared and homemade. Amazing food, great service, hidden gem. Being a celiac and needing gluten free options, LA Cabana had no problem pointing out what I could and shouldn't eat.

Authentic as is gets great place. Food was the best i have ever had. Prompt service. Quiet atmosphere. If you are in the area to visit Belleayre mountain its 5 minutes down the road.

Awful food, flavourless, very bland. The Three Chile rellenos and the Supreme enchiladas had the same taste of nothing. Bland the refried beans as a side too. That's why the place was almost empty! Don't waste your money! I was tricked by the good reviews!

Tasty filling Mexican food. Crunchy tacos and delicious salsa. Great soups like tortilla, black bean, and garlic soup. All terrific. Not fancy even a bit dumpy but the food is consistently good.
