I visited Village Market recently and purchased a coffee and blueberry muffin. My friend also purchased a coffee and a cream-filled donut.

Shortly after leaving, my friend bit into her donut and discovered that the cream filling was visibly covered in green mold. Concerned, I checked my blueberry muffin and found that the bottom was also completely green with mold.

We were extremely disappointed and concerned by the condition of these items, especially since they were sold as fresh baked goods. We did not expect this level of quality control from a food establishment.

I hope management takes this seriously and reviews storage and freshness procedures to ensure this doesn’t happen to other customers.

They did a great job renovating this supermarket. There are many more choices and the store is much more spacious. They did, however, take a step backwards when it comes to staffing. If you go by the deli, there will be several people working in the deli in the background but only one person serving the customers. You can have six or seven customers waiting to be serviced at the deli but only one person servicing them while five or six others are hanging out in the back of the deli doing nothing. They also have a couple of male cashiers who are not courteous and don’t realize it’s extremely helpful to place items in a customer’s bag while they’re scanning their credit cards and paying. By not helping the customers with their bags, it slows down the lines. It’s also rude to not help them out.

I have been a customer here for several years. I purchased milk from here a few days ago. Unfortunately, the milk when opened was curdled. I know that they are undergoing major construction and issues may arise. I went in for exchange. Manager I spoke with demanded the receipt which I showed. He stated it was past 24 hours so no exchange. Store policy is store policy. I guess if I were to purchase a couple milks and yogurts I could open them all and test them the day I buy then, or I could just patronize grocers in the future who honor the quality of their products.

Lowkey one of the best (and only places) to get food in floral park. While I usually don’t buy anything from the market, it’s pretty cool walking around looking (and usually joking about) at the various products they have there. Right now, they’re doing a renovation of the market, so check it out and take some photos for your insta while you’re there. Only reason why I’m giving this four stars is because I think the renovation might look bad and I miss the coziness of the old version, but other than that, pretty cool supermarket :)

I went to this supermarket today and the cashier Brody was very cheerful and had wonderful customer service skills. When his register had the sign that said closed, he offered to ring me up for my purchase. Brody also took the initiative to clean the register. I told his manager Frank that he did a good job.

I liked everything, I bought everything I wanted in a huge store, and the prices were great, at least $50-60, look you won’t regret it

Disgraceful behavior by the manager and 2 employees. I went into the store with my service dog who was wearing is proper ID badge and was told by two employees that he could not be in the store. I told them that he was allowed and if there’s a problem to please call 911 and I would wait for the officers to arrive. The manager then came down and told me the same thing and said if I didn’t like the rules I could go shop somewhere else. I have a report on file with the Floral Park PD, the Nassau County Office for the Physically Challenged, and the Nassau County Office of Consumer Affairs. I also reached out to the Nassau County DA’s office. I will also be reaching out to Newsday and News 12. If someone does not know the law, then in my opinion they should not try to enforce the law.
