Great flavor, their Chinese name implies it specializes in noodles but I only ordered regular dishes. Surprisingly good, not greasy or too salty.

We got take out from here today, each came with soup and rice. Price was very reasonable, portion was good , and taste was on point. Will definitely come back again when we go out to Main Street, continued to support local businesses during this difficult time!

We have been visiting here for some time, and each time has been a delight. Their dishes are on the spicy side, but you can always ask them to adjust the level of spices to cater to your taste buds. I have seen them alter their dishes to the customer's requests on several occasions. Their menu is extensive and can be a little confusing because of the liberal mix of Chinese translated into English. There are picture menus too so it works out. Well, recently we came to place an order to go and they made some adjustments to the dishes for us. Super accomodating and all over helpful. Fabulous staff, awesome food, and they are available during a time not many are open for business! From our first visit, until today....we plan to come here for as long as they operate. They are truly an asset to this neighborhood.

This Asian fusion restaurant of Sichuan and Chinese cuisine comes as a delightful surprise in the heart of Flushing. It is located on Prince street across from Spots Desserts. Without further ado, Pros: 1. Service was above and beyond what I would expect from Flushing. (I mean come on, we come to Flushing for food quality and not customer service at this point) 2. It is open to relatively late in Flushing as most things are closed after pm while they open until 11 pm. 3. Location wise, it is a little off from main Flushing, thus away from the main crowds, which is nice. 4. Food quality (Probably should have started with this). Their flavor was on point with the dishes that we got. I recommend: -Sliced beef with pepper pancakes (spicy) -Cold noodle with chili sauce -Shrimp with minced garlic The dishes we got were overall spicy dishes but it wasn't overbearing to the point where I cannot appreciate the other flavors within it. 5. This place takes credit. (Yea, those of you who frequent Flushing understand). 6.Decor was nice and the table and seating arrangement was placed in a way where it doesn't feel too claustrophobic. Cons: (Had to think heh) 1. Price was a little on the higher end (very slight) but you get quality over quantity in the dishes. 2. Average sized but hey it does say cafe and when I went, plenty of seats. (Then again...corona and on a weekday evening heh) Overall, my party was pretty satisfied with the food, decor, and service from this restaurant. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes as we didn't have a big enough party to try more.

They charged me 18% tip on my card when I clearly told her I'm paying tip in cash. Disgusting. I better get back the $3.58. Never coming back and telling all my coworkers to never come here.

I ordered meatball over rice. The meat ball was rotten. Even worse is that, the waitress ignored me when I told her the meatball went bad. Will never come back!

A personal fave Sechuan restaurant serving both Chinese and some Vietnamese dishes like pho, 698 is situated right across of the Fulton St shopping area where abundant new Asian restaurants are. If you're looking for Sechuan food with a good spicy kick, this one should be tried. What I like about this place is: casual dining and ambience, reasonable (although bit pricier) prices, vast (but not too much) amount of options, and the correct spice level. Oh, yes, if you're from the area, the late-night times are ideal. We come here for particularly the different types of spicy foods, mostly the spicy shrimp and spicy lobster dish. Be prepared for a grumbly tummy and hot taste buds! It's so good though if you can handle it! If you're not the adventurous type, you may have to tell the staff to turn it down a notch but for the most part, the spice level doesn't need to be adjusted if you're looking for a nice sniffle. The dan dan noodles too can't be missed! Serving size is good for two or if you want a whole bowl, go for it. Bathroom available. Accepts card and cash. Open decently late. Bon appetit!

698 Cafe is definitely my new go to spot in Flushing. It's hip, it's clean, and the food is out of this world. I was a bit skeptical at first given how new the restaurant is, and was hesitating about going in, but I am so glad I did! We ordered the following: - Crab Legs with Salted Egg Yolk and Rice Cake (really good, and definitely the star of our meal, but honestly the dish itself and the portion of the rice cake was very small for $21!) - Pan Fried Pork Buns (very good, and super juicy, a favorite amongst my friends) - Spicy Crispy Eggplant dish (my top favorite dish!!!) - Preserved egg Congee with Minced Pork & we also ordered the Fisherman Congee (both were unsalted, no flavor. We had to request for salt and white pepper in order to salvage this. I would pass on this entirely. I was going to deduct a star for this congee, but I didn't think the issue warranted a deduction given the overall experience) - Spring Rolls (really good, perfectly crispy, and the taste on this was super flavorful) - Sliced Beef with Green Pepper Pancake (my friends loved this dish, I didn't get to try this because my friends said it was very spicy and I was battling a sore throat, so they warned me not to have it) Overall, it was a great experience at 698, and I will be making this restaurant a place I will frequent when going to Flushing!

Chinese younger kids service excellent and hardworking. Usually you think oh chinese restaurants bad but they were very friendly. Live seafood is the best of the best, it can be a steamed tilapia, as long as it is swimming it's delicious. Not "fresh", meaning dead, alive swimming. Alaskan king crab, probably the pinnacle of live seafood next to live spot prawns and rare live mantis prawns. Getting into baller status. The crab is about 8-10 pounds and served into 3 dishes, steamed egg with miso/tamale of shell, legs steamed with garlic and scallions, and deep fried body parts of crab. Absolutely wonderful. Pork ribs were another favorite, crunchy, sticky chewy and seasoned perfect. It's endless here on my favorite Cantonese/Taiwanese/Ma-La menu fusion. NYC definitely best Chinatown in amurika!

Think this is my new favorite restaurant in flushing! A lot of the time you kind of have to sacrifice decor and cleanliness of the restaurants for good food, when i came to 698 cafe i love the design and atmosphere of the restaurant so I wasnt expecting too much about their food and i was so pleasantly surprised!! I ordered the egg yolk crab leg with rice cake and it was so delicious!! We also got a number of other dim sum and fried rice and they were all very delicious! One big plus is they take credit card (most places in flushing only take cash).. service is also very good. Guys pls keep up the good work and I will def be back!

It's a nice place and very friendly service. The seafood is very fresh and tasty. The portion is little small, and the price is not bad.

The word Cafe sounds simple by definition which usually offer no table service and simple finger foods. Cafe 698 is definitely more than that as it offers amazing tasty and high quality Chinese fusion food with superb table service Order the Cold glass noodles in chili sauce. A delicious blend of black bean, garlic and chili sauce. The sauce was so good it reminds me of the "Frank's red hot" chili sauce commercial, "I put that $%it on everything" This sauce here would make any dish shine. The Mustard green wontons were huge and meaty and the soup base was perfectly seasoned. I should had ordered it with a side order of noodles as it would have paired with the wontons nicely. The crab legs with salted egg yolk rice cakes is a must have! The rice cakes served here are tubular shape that you usually will find served in Korean restaurants, but the dish is rock solid delicious! The only dish that was a miss was the beef pancakes. It was a little oily and less crunchy which gave me the impression the oil was not heated to temperature before they fried the pancake. It could have been a one off since the wok heat was amazing on the rice cakes. In a nutshell clean and beautiful interior appointments Coupled with friendly service and delicious food made Cafe 698 a memorable and delicious dining experience.
