I'm never going back, the guy behind the counter is super rude, it seems like he's too busy to take orders. I went this morning and ordered an egg and cheese sandwich and he gave me a totally different one than the one I ordered. Then I tried to order a bagel and he tells me that they don't order them there and that I should go to the other side to pay. Super super bad customer service, apparently they do NOT need a NEW customer since it was my first time visiting the place.

I recently started coming to Jewel Bagel after my old go-to had a fire. I have only ordered bagel with nova with spread and tomato and red onion, but I think that is the standard to judge a bagel shop by. Bagel is BOMB, fish is excellent, and the price is like year 2000....recently paid literally double in Lake Success at a big name place, and the quality there was MEH. I have been to 20+ bagel shops in the area and this one meets or beats all if them

Visited this bagel spot again yesterday for a Tuna sandwich and pancakes as well as an iced coffee. I ordered via their preferred online method on their website. I arrived at their designated time and my iced coffee was still not ready. This was okay and I didn’t mind. 2-3 minutes later, I get into my car and checked the pancakes and noticed that $6 worth of paid extras was no where to be found. I ordered blueberries, bananas and extra chocolate chips for the pancakes but none of it was on the pancakes except for the normal amount of chocolate chips. I called jewel, a gentleman answered and I explained the situation to him and he apologized and said he would refund me the $6 to the card I purchased with. Additionally, they added powdered sugar to the pancakes which I did NOT check off when placing the order. I still have yet to see an adjustment to my order and when I called to follow up they said they don’t remember :/
I am also a bit surprised that $16 pancakes w/blueberry/chocolate/banana) came with only one side of syrup for three pancakes. This is just embarrassing.
Overall quality of the food is good but what does that matter when they don’t include things you pay for and then their customer service is abysmal.

My go to sandwich is the open faced tuna or baked salmon melt, with cheddar cheese and onions, and jewel bagels never fails to hit the spot. My meal comes out perfect and fresh every time, the coffee is always brewed well and i always have a great time with the staff. Would highly recommend!

Message to manager. please train your staff to look at the customer when they’re placing their order. That way, they can actually get the order right! Every time I place an order, my bagels are cold and the inside is freezing! That’s because the guys behind the counter walk away from you before you’re done speaking to them and they have no idea what you’re ordering. As soon as the Forest Hills bagel shop reopens, I will be taking my business there.
I was here today, 8/29/24. I bought a dozen bagels then was going to buy 1/2 lb. of tuna salad. The obnoxious male behind the counter wanted to put it in a plastic container that was difficult for me to open. I asked him to put it in the other shaped plastic container. He was rude, & yelled 'NO'! I bought NO tuna. He refused to sell it to me. This place is disgusting !

My experience at Jewel Bagels through Grubhub was fantastic! I ordered a plain bagel egg sandwich and a plain bagel with cream cheese for pickup, and both were absolutely delicious. The bagels were fresh and perfectly toasted, and the fillings were generous and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
The service was efficient, and my order was ready on time as promised, within five minutes of ordering. They had free ketchup packets readily available for anyone who needs, which I appreciated. The manager or owner, who was present during my visit, was extremely friendly and appreciative of our business. Their warm hospitality added to the overall positive experience.
Overall, I'm highly impressed with Jewel Bagels and will definitely be returning for more of their tasty offerings!
