Parking: I frequently have soup for breakfast there. Almost everyday. 4 -6 times a week! The food is hearty, homely and it's kinda soul food of Seoul, Korea, reminds me of home back in Korea. Anyways, today the only waitress seems to consistantly have problems on the credit machine with my cards. The waitress had about 5 tables open, but because she was having trouble with my card, she muttered that she wishes I don't come!!!
I cooly handed her cash and left
Other than the foul mouthed waitress working on Mondays the food is excellent and their prices are more than decent. Because of her the service gets 1 Star ⭐. Without her it's an 8 !

The food is ok but the service is bad. The server attitude was rude. I always have respect for server and if I need to ask for anything I always respectfully ask. The lady literally raised her eyebrows when I ask for an extra few more leaves of Napa cabbage for my pork wrap dish of $30. Ridiculous. Their blood sausage soup is not as great since they are known for it , I’d expect a better taste. I have been to Korea 3 times and have much respect for the Korean food and culture, but the way I felt being treated in this place as a customer, is horrible. Of course we wont be back and if you are not Korean or not speaking Korean, I don't think you should even visit.

Always good
It's by far the best place that's open 24 hours a day.
What's disappointing is that I wish there was a little more meat in the sundae soup. It's a shame that it focuses on internal organs. And in the case of pork soup, it comes seasoned with salt, but it was a bit too salty for me. Anyway, I'm going to ask for the broth to be added as is because I can adjust the seasoning to my own taste. ~

I've ordered takeout and dined in multiple times. Within NY and NJ, this place is still hands down the best for gamja tang (감자탕) nice portions of meat and rich broth. If it's a rainy day or I'm craving some comfort food, this is the perfect soup place to warm the belly.
Other favs: really good kimchi jigae (김치찌개), galbi tang (갈비탕), bone broth soup (they have different versions) and soondae gui (순대구이)

I guess you forgot to season it. I just ordered it...
The broiler sauce and pork soup just taste like meat diluted in water.. It wasn't like that originally.
My husband and I frequently have come here in the past. Service and food has been good for the most part. When we went today we ordered 순대국. Something about the broth or the meat had a weird after taste, almost like spoiled meat. When we called the waitress over, I explained in Korean that the soup tasted weird and how we always came here for the same dish and it was always good. She tells me that she’s been serving it all day and no one else has complained, basically ignoring the fact that maybe we have gotten spoiled meat? Then she goes back to eating with the other waitress when there are a few tables that are in need of service. I understand they need to take their lunch breaks but it’s my understanding in the restaurant business servers need to take breaks in shifts, especially if they’re the only 2 working and there are 6 tables being serviced. If this is the way they do business with 0 customer service or trying to remedy the fact that I didn’t touch my soup at all, they’ve definitely lost business from us. We have been going for a few years but we are never going back. We went up to pay and I told her again that the soup was inedible, she takes our money and goes “sorry” to my husband who was paying. We left them no tip. Terrible service.

I stopped by while in NY with some friends and the food was amazing. We missed breakfast by a few minutes which I was sad about but we caught lunch and I’m so glad that we did. I honestly had a hard time letting the food cool down enough to eat. I got some kind of beef stew and it was very flavorful. The meat tasted like it was marinated, it picked up whatever it was soaked in very well. The banchan was fresh and delicious. We ate them all by themselves before the food even arrived. The staff was nice and patient. There was an odor that I didn’t like and it did upset my stomach. I think it might have been coming from outside though. Honestly the best Korean food I’ve had. I’ll definitely come back during another visit.

The meat in the sundae soup is too empty, so it is greasy and doesn't taste like sundae soup. This is like gomtang, so I don't think I'll ever eat it again. I'm just posting an honest review.
