I bought a cake today, November 26, as on many occasions I went to buy something to eat for dessert because it is one of the few places where I can certainly find something I like. I bought a “tres leches” peach pie and two coffees. I would have done poorly with the service and the attention was Excellent but if there is something that bothers me greatly it is the lies. I asked if there was tres leches cake and they told me yes and that it was peach and tres leches. I asked if the cake, being tres leches, was moist because it has already happened to me in other places that it is a dry sponge cake. The response from the person who served me was that yes, the tres leches cakes were very moist. Well, to my surprise, when I got home I found true disappointment.
1. When they put the cake in the box, it could only be seen from a distance. When I got home, I noticed that the cake had its white pastry cream, it was already a little yellow and part of its decoration was somewhat broken or cracked, which undoubtedly shows that the cake was not It was the same day and perhaps it had already been refrigerated for a few days. (It wasn't fresh)
2. When I cut the cake I find a normal sponge cake with pastry cream and peach. In fact, quite dry for my liking, I did not agree with this, it had nothing to do with what they assured me they were selling me.
3. For a cake that was not even close to being tres leches, not being fresh, the value I paid is absurd because although their prices are already established, to be honest... they found someone to get out of a cake that had been there for many days there, even if they had told me it was my decision to see if I bought it or not knowing this.
At the end of the story I only have to say Thank you because because of this I already know where not to return and not to recommend more.
And as a suggestion, since I am not an advisor, try to sell your fresh products, if what you are already running out of and you don't want to make any loss, offer it without lying, either at the same price or leave it on sale, maybe people will determine if they buy it or not. .
It's not about the price, it's about quality, quality that apparently has already been lost.
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!

The food is okay. Have had similar food in other nearby establishments. The service IS TERRIBLE. The ladies that work there don't have any customer service skills. Terribly rude and unfriendly... AND THEY HAVE NO BATHROOM .... how domyou have a business in such a busy part of town abd NO BATHROOM... Their bathroom is only for the employyes!!!! I advice to try other restaurants in this area which are abundant in jackson heights!!!

Alejandra, the manager, believes she is the owner and mother of the clients. The other young woman gave me the wrong order, and Alejandra offended me and scolded me in front of the customers. He told him to change my order, but not to come back again. This lady does not understand that the client is respected. Previously, before purchasing, a green old customer came too close to me and I moved. Then, when I was already in front to pay, the dirty old man wanted to rub his hands over my chest with the excuse of wanting to put his coffees in front of me. To avoid embarrassing the wife, I just asked her to respect my space. So Alejandra, instead of offending and disrespecting clients without knowing the whole thing, focus on just watching over what she is doing at the moment, and helping her female clients who come in to buy, and not being groped by dirty old men. The owner of the place has to intervene if this is how the clientele is treated.
The best bakery in the area and the best pastry shop, a different place to have the best coffee with a dessert. Very attentive staff, very clean place

The place is small and cozy. The decoration is unique in the area, THEY INVEST A LOT IN DECORATION, BUT THE PRODUCTS? These taste like cheap bakery. Some are the most normal thing in the world, and others are even bad, like the MILFEHOJA THAT WE JUST TRIED... what a disappointment... There was almost no white cream, which is what is supposed to soften the flavor of Arequipe; instead just tons of arequipe, somewhat cloying, the puff pastry super tasteless, thick and dry. I'm sorry ?
UPDATE:
I have continued buying sporadically, because some of the products are not that bad and the place is nice to sit and have a coffee. BUT UNFORTUNATELY TODAY I HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WENT TO BUY A Slice OF CAKE TO SURPRISE MY BROTHER FOR HIS BIRTHDAY, I WANTED TO MAKE SURE IT WAS HIS FAVORITE FLAVOR (PASSION FRUIT - THEN I HAD NO OTHER OPTION TO BUY), AND THAT IT WAS FRESH. I ASKED THE GIRL IF THE CAKE WAS FRESH AND SHE TOLD ME THAT THEY MADE IT EVERY DAY, EVEN THOUGH I KNEW FROM HER FACE THAT SHE WAS LYING TO ME, AND WHEN I SAW THE PRODUCT I DIDN'T SEE IT SO FRESH, I DECIDED TO BRING IT; BUT WHEN I GOT HOME AND OPENED IT TO PUT THE CANDLE IN, I COULDN'T GIVE ME ANYTHING OTHER THAN DISGUSTING. THAT PORTION OF CAKE HAD BEEN IN THAT DISPLAY CASE FOR AT LEAST FOUR DAYS TO BE SO DRY AND HARD. ?????
HOW NICE WOULD IT BE IF SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE SOLD GOOD AND FRESH PRODUCTS AND WON'T TREAT PEOPLE LIKE STUPID.
MORE RESPECT TO CUSTOMERS PLEASE!

They well located. But very Poor attention . The staff is rude to talk or ask , looks they are bothered and show the attitude. . They don’t accommodate the client.they serve my sister una arepita quemada. . We were in a hurry and didn’t complain at the moment about. But I cant pass this so I took a pick . I have to mention any thing you ask as a container extra cup or even if you ask a litle ice to cool down a hot beverage. You are charge.
