Excelent food and customer service. Jil and Vanessa made our day. We entered the location for a shot of tequila and ended up trying a delicious Caldo de Pata and Caldo de Bagre. In addition we tasted a delicious Canelazo that put us in the mood for a great night. Highly recommended place if you are in the area. It won’t disappoint you. We are definitely coming back and recommending this place to family and friends. #florida

This is a regular spot for dinner, but mostly I come for happy hour because the cocktails are good even with house liquor, only $6 each. I come here often since it’s near my office. The service is decent, but the only inconvenience—one that’s common in many restaurants around Roosevelt—is how the tip is added at checkout. They automatically add an 18% gratuity. I understand the servers may need this, but it’s not the right way to handle it. Tipping is a custom, not mandatory, and it should depend on factors like location, prices, and the type of restaurant. I’m sharing this so that next time, at least for me, this won’t happen. For those who didn’t know, you can actually request to remove it from the bill, especially if it’s just two people. My suggestion: update the menu and clearly state if an 18% gratuity is mandatory. That way, everyone can avoid an annoying surprise at the end of the meal!

Awesome experience. Nice passion fruit mojito. I took 3 due to my attendant Jil 😌 ( you are the best). This girl is really nice and sweet. I was suppoused to go to do something and I just left everything for next day. Thank you Jil and thanks good for people like you. You really know what are you doing. The menu changed a little bit and I noticed the amount of food is not how it used to be, notably on the calamari plate. I understand the prices of ingredients must be affecting it. Nonetheless, chiflez has became our favorite happy hour place. Jill is so nice and always remembered our drink order. Their coconut mojitos are always hitting!
