We saw the hype online and had to try this during our visit to Flushing, but it was disappointing. I think we are just not fans of this type of jian bing. Maybe those who really like jian bing would love this place. We are glad we gave it a try. It was $6 for one jian bing.
This spot is consistently busy, so it's likely best to visit right when it opens or closer to closing time to avoid long waits—we waited over 30 minutes. When we arrived, there was already a crowd, and it remained just as busy when we passed by later in the day! It’s clearly a popular destination, especially known for their savory egg crepes. Really liked this version of a Chinese classic breakfast food, the legendary Jian Bing煎饼. They include two eggs and go heavy on the crispy layer 脆饼 which made for a solid, handheld feast. The greens were nice and fresh but for me it needs more sauce and could use some pickled 榨菜 to make it more flavorful. Best I’ve had in U.S. though, so it’s definitely worth a stop in to try. Heads up, it’s takeout and cash only.
