The food was very very delicious. I got the 육개장 and the broth was soooooo rich, perfectly spicy, and just good overall. The place wasn't too busy and you could tell when walking in that the food would be good. The kimchi was also really good and the service was good. Would recommend

The food was all delicious, rich, and served hot! They make the broth themselves. Cozy, homey atmosphere. But the staff were not very friendly and very gruff (even when we spoke to them in fluent Korean)
One of my favorite hole in the wall korean spots in NY. The oxtail bone soup is cooked for days which makes the broth so rich. It pairs really well with there Bosam, I get it every time I go there!

As a long time regular, it is so disappointing that the service is declining. My friend and I came at 8:30pm to grab dinner. After ordering the mains, I asked for drinks and the server said they do not serve alcohol after 9pm. It wasn’t even 9pm at that point but I said fine. We get our dishes and we are enjoying it. It’s 9:15pm and the server wants us to pay now. Umm we haven’t even finished the meal. But fine, we pay. 9:19pm comes around and the other server comes up to us to say that they’re closing at 9:20pm. Like what?! How can you tell a paying customer that is in the middle of eating to leave in a minute? This should be communicated before being seated. It says closing at 9:45pm on google so we thought we had at least another 20 minutes to finish eating. I literally had no words at that point. I didn’t even want to argue with them. We just left as soon as we finished swallowing. They didn’t say good night as we walked out.
It’s 2025. I know we are in Flushing but cmon! Please do not operate like this. It’s such a let down to people, especially when I’m introducing Korean culture to my non-Korean friends! If you can’t commit to letting people finish their food because you want to go home early, then don’t accept them. It’s extremely rude and disrespectful.

the food was average, i’ve had better seollongtang elsewhere. the only thing we liked was the kimchi. the waitresses are rude, seems to be something that’ll never change given the reviews from years ago. tips are NOT mandatory, especially if the service was awful. but we had the lady come back up to us asking for a tip. why would i tip you if you aren’t providing quality service? the busboy we did want to tip left early since it was near closing time. it’s a shame, i had high hopes from tiktok and the positive reviews.
