Very deep taste soup.

This pace needs to go! Horrendous prices and skimping on the quality of the food. I have been ordering from there since 2012, and the last time I ordered in 2024, they skimmed on a lot of stuff. Very disappointing! We need some of these amazing Korean fusion restaurants and cafes that dominates Northern Blvd (around Murray Hill and Broadway LIRR).

One of the great restaurants in NY. We always order the spicy yukaejang beef soup and ask for it mild. So they add their famous beef bone broth to it which makes it the best in town. We also always order the bibimbap in stone pot, making crispy rice edges. Our cravings for these dishes come about once a month!

I bumped into this seemingly really authentic and traditional Korean restaurant while in Flushing. The vibe is very local - serving mostly residents living nearby, but also welcoming strangers lol. It’s very home-cooked, kinda like mom or grandma’s type of food. A solid choice if you want a simple, homey meal!

Such An amazing restaurant. One of my favorite meals in NYC. Highly recommend the japchae

The oxtail soup was glorious. The broth is milky and silky. You salt to taste and add scallions to your heart's content. They have a broad menu but I came for the oxtail soup alone. I will return again, most likely just for the oxtail soup. I have a new favorite soup. I highly recommend this place.

Gahwa Seolleongtang is a place I usually visit for their seolleongtang or doganitang, but their assorted bossam is also outstanding, and the Gahwa bibimbap is truly delicious.

If you haven’t tried their bossam or bibimbap yet, I highly recommend giving them a try.

I’ve been coming here since I first arrived in New York 15 years ago, and throughout all these years, they have consistently maintained the same great taste and level of service.
Highly recommend!

Best 설렁탕 around the area. But only if their kitchen is fully functional. They have giant setup for making the rich broth but sometimes it's broken due to some reasons and you can tell the broth tastes different when it does

Super empty on a weekday/friday night, went trick or treating with my niece and nephew and their kiddie friends and we were looking for a place nearby for food, decided to drop by since they were still open (closes at 9:20pm), there was only one other table with customers finishing their meal when we walked in. We got some soup and japchae and seafood pancakes to share, the beef bone soup was without salt so you'd have to add your own, there's a bowl of scallion too. Japchae was good and flavorful. Tofu soup was spicy but decent in flavor. Probably not my first choice in the area but ok for old ppl who can't have too much salt and needs to eat healthy. Lots of space and no crowd.

The food is fairly consistent at Gahwa. It tastes good and is decently priced. They are becoming more stingy with the banchan, especially the kimchi, which is why I am giving them three stars.

Traditional Korean bone soup restaurant. It's a comfort dish for Koreans, but I see more non Koreans enjoying the soup nowadays.
