So is this place a super gourmet pizza place with white truffle slices on top of organic dough and heirloom tomato sauce? No. Its a neighborhood pizzeria, but they have a "wow this is good" factor. About 7 years ago, I ordered a margarita pizza with extra basil, sauce, garlic, and frankly, this margarita pizza competently compares to the best basil with red sauce and cheese pizza that Ive had over the years. Since then I had not been in NYC, but I am now visiting. Just last night, on a rainy sunday evening, I walked in and ordered a sicillian, pepperoni, and a macaroni slice. All three had been sitting at the shop for an hour or more. But they were still delicious. The crust on the siciilian reminded me of detroit style square pies. Crisp and doughy, yet crunchy on the outside without taxing your teeth. Both of the slices were great too. Lets compare to a famous nyc landmarlks, being Lombardi's and Prince's, both in soho. This place has better pizza than both famous lamdmarks. Now if you want sweetened tomato sauce, goto Prince. If you want a classic 12 in pie with home made sauce, go to Lombardi's. Genesis, otoh still has a special something that survived covid. The same pizza guy works there as 7 years ago, that says something.

Food is delicious. The service is amazing. I highly recommend ordering the penne Ala vodka, garlic knots and their margarita slice. The margarita slice has fresh mozzarella a cheese, fresh tomatoes and fresh basil.
We’ve ordered food for pick up to make sure that it will be warm, but pizza (Nonna’s) was cold and they forgot to add Paperoni. Garlic knots wasn’t tasty. The only mozzarella sticks were good. Unfortunately don’t think we will repeat this

Hidden Gem! This place is just so awesome it's an italian heaven with amazing service and the chef is a magician in the kitchen!! And everything is so unbelievably cheap I always get a 3 course meal for 20-25$ but I wouldn't do takeout on anything other than pizza though because everything else loses that fresh taste after bringing it home...
You can tell just from looking at the pictures, that this place makes it NICE! I should know, because I used to work at a place just like this one, back when I was in High School, so I know how to tell when someone makes it NICE. Maybe one day if I'm in the neighborhood, I'll stop in for a slice, because when you're eating pizza, you want it to be nicey-nice. You know what I'm saying/

The classics are a 10/10. Any thin crust pie tastes great. Just the right balance of crunch and soft, not soggy at all even in the middle. Sauce is just right and good amount of cheese. Has become a regular spot. Garlic knots are delicious. I could eat them by themselves and be satisfied. Order on Slice not u*er e@ts because it doesn’t allow you to make modifications to the food example: adding chicken to pasta.Only complaint is the Sicilian was very crunchy, wouldn’t order it again but a plain pie is the way to go. You can’t go wrong with a cheese pie and 2 orders of garlic knots.
