Guan Dong Yi Jia

This restaurant is also known as "House of Orient". Taste of the food is authentic to what I recall from my years living in Beijing. We were a party of seven, seated in a private, quiet corner with three walls. We ordered "family style", which enabled everyone to enjoy all among the varied dishes and soup ordered. Typical Chinese food from mainland China, the service is good. We like to buy for breakfast which different than the regular menu is much Healthy. They open at 6:30 AM in the morning. Mostly we buy take out food early in the morning and we deal with cashier that doesn't speak English or limited of the English language we buy and go out.

Bonnie G. and I ventured into Flushing to find a late night respite where we could hopefully find some real deal Northern Chinese. Oddly this place is also know as House of Orient and had 2 Yelp pages. I chose to use the Guan Dong name as its on the sign and menu. We found the staff very accomodating and they spoke enough English to get the job done. The place was clean, friendly and most importantly good food...and they take credit cards!!!
