Mediocre cuisine catering mostly to non-South Asian clientele. Eight of us were celebrating a Galantine's party. All of us had eaten here and seven always ate here when shopping in Jackson Heights. I am not one of them. Appetizers, curries and naans were ordered. Cocktails of Mai Tai and Margheritas were being drunk with joy. I only liked the mango lassi which was served in a tall fluted glass and was refreshing. All the curries had the same flavor which my friends realized that the cuisine here was pseudo authentic. We skipped dessert as we had brought chocolates to share. Sharon, the lovely server who has been here for ten years was patient and pleasant.

I went there at almost close to 9 just me .no reservations excellent service. i just had a craving for butter chicken. the chicken had weird taste didn’t really like it that much i prefer butter little sweet. i asked for medium maybe that is the reason i didn’t like it but garlic naan was excellent just perfect. automatic 18% tip is added.

Haven't been to Jackson Diner in a few years so came here thinking they had the buffet. Not only did they not have a buffet but they also moved across the street! I'm actually glad they didn't have the buffet. The food was fantastic! My 77 year old mom asked for the bhel puri and said it was the best she's ever had. We also ordered the saag paneer, vegetable korma, raita, and the kadai paneer with some Naan. All were flavorful, spicy mild, and hot/fresh. Definitely coming back here again.

The food was just okay. We ordered paneer tikka and daal makhni. I specifically asked the waiter about the daal makhni, whether it had onion or garlic and he checked with the chef to confirm it didn’t. Turns out it actually had onion in it. On top of that, my water glass had food residue stuck to it. Pretty disappointing overall.

Absolutely recommend this place for north Indian food! Well cooked and tasty. I enjoyed everything I ordered. And the owner here is awesome as well. This was really good food experience. Treated me well even when I reached half hour before closing time.

I ordered takeout and chose the tandoori salmon and tandoori chicken, which turned out to be a very disappointing experience. Both dishes were extremely dry—so dry that they were difficult to swallow without drinking water. This is not how tandoori dishes, especially salmon, should be prepared.
There were very few pieces of salmon and chicken, mostly onions, and the portion did not justify the price at all. The salmon alone was $38, and my total bill was over $50, which makes the poor quality even more frustrating.
The food lacked moisture, balance, and overall care. At this price point, I expected flavorful, well-prepared dishes, not something that felt unpleasant to eat. Unfortunately, this meal did not meet even basic expectations, and I would not order these items again. There needs to be a minus star category.

It’s an ok experience, nothing wrong but also nothing quite outstanding. With the mango lassi that costs $7 I think it’s fair to say the price is a bit pricy.
The waiters barely pouring the water for us, so the service is also just so so…

The dishes were well prepared - slightly adapted to the American palate while still preserving authentic flavors. The naan stood out: crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, with just the right amount of chew. Service was prompt, attentive, and professional.

Ok...here is how it is. First, yes, Jackson Diner is fantastic. Don't let the name full you. It's as legitimate as it gets and the price is reasonable. However, I must add that you are hard pressed to find anything but fantastic Indian cuisine within a 4 block radius. Every restaurant in this part of town is absolutley awesome.
Jackson Diner in Jackson Heights is a solid spot for Indian food. The fish tikka was very good nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. The butter roti was fresh, warm, and paired really well with everything. I also tried the samosa chaat, which had great flavor and a nice balance of spice and texture. Overall, the food hits the mark and it’s a reliable place to come back to when you’re craving Indian food in Queens.

Visited this Indian restaurant based on my Indian friend recommendation, and it didn’t disappoint. The food has many flavors and the service is good. The chicken curry is amazing.

I had 60 dollars worth of food delivered by doordash they sent me order with no plates napkins and forks or spoons so I called them up and all she said she was sorry I told her how are we supposed to eat this food with our hands so she said that I didn't request and utensils how can I if I ordered from doordash so I had to throw away 60 dollars worth of food and wasted a 20 dollar tip just to throw food in garbage so I took my 2 friends to a restaurant to get food I don't recommend anyone to go to Jackson diner on 74st Jackson heights queen
