Gave us wicked food poisoning. Avoid at all cost. It didn't smell or look sketchy but whatever they served us caused food poisoning within the hour.

Nice for a quick and affordable meal. I had the seafood jjiggae and grilled mackerel, came with a nice assortment of banchan.

Seriously, the best duck BBQ in New York, no competition. The side dishes (ban chan) are incredibly delicious! Honestly, I could just come here for ban chan!

We wanted to try a KBBQ that's off the beaten path...I think we'll stick to the beaten path from now on. We read some reviews and it seemed ok to us. I like how many reviewers stress that the marinated meats are not too sweet which is true and the meats are fantastic. What Kum Sung really lack is overall speed. It was just the two of us and we ordered their "black bean" seafood pancake which was different and nice. It had a really nutty flavor to it. The bon chon was very humble which was fine but it apparently only Korean patrons got kimchi cabbage. Our food took forever to come out and it wasn't even a full house. I timed approximately 20 minutes...for seafood pancake and a cold noodle broth. We did notice that if you ordered from the KBBQ menu, you got your food almost instantly. But 20 minutes for a pancake and cold noodle broth is just waaaaay too long. There are good things going for Kum Sung BBQ but they have a lot of issues that shouldn't be issues at all. It's likely we won't be back.

I came to Kum Sung BBQ because I wanted to try Korean style raw marinated crabs for the first time. My friend convinced me to order the Naengmyun + LA Galbi combo as well because she said the restaurant is known for their cold noodles. She ordered the Sunji Haejang Guk because she likes hot soups mixed with rice. The blue crabs tasted fresh, so it paired nicely with the rice, but due to the soy sauce marinate it was definitely on the salty side. The Naengmyun was super chewy and the broth was a mixture of sweet, tangy, savory. Delicious! I was given vinegar and Korean mustard on the side to add to my liking. My friend said the Sunji Haejang Guk (ox blood with pieces of beer and vegetables in beef broth) was light and she liked how they provide spice on the side so customers can adjust per preference.Other than the dishes we ordered, we were provided with an abundance of bonchon (side dishes). I enjoyed the variety and how traditional the side dishes are (as opposed to just kimchi or picked radish that more modern Korean places give). This is more of a traditional Korean restaurant and the staff was very nice. My friend spoke Korean to the staff, but they made sure to explain and made me feel included. Haha.

Cold noodles were fantastic. Wish I could eat them every day. Grandpas kimchi bulgogi were unusual and wonderful. And the banchan were plentiful and many.

Great service. Duck is amazing and you have to get the cold noodles. You have to order at least two orders for BBQ. A bit on the pricier side.

I don’t usually leave reviews. However, this was my worst experience. I ordered a regular-size ($35) of Sanggyupsal Gochujang Gui dish and all I got was 12 pieces. I thought they missed my order and that my order might be from a combination with cold noodle (normally combo has a smaller portion than the regular order).I called them and explained however, they were said it's just their normal portion and never wanted to do anything about it. Very impressed with their customer service.

Fresh and satisfying local Korean food! Lots of yummy sides. To end the meal, you give you a free yogurt drink.

It's been a while since a Korean restaurant made me full without breaking the bank. I am not exaggerating that a regular portion at Kum Sung equates to a small at any Manhattan korean restaurant. We ordered the pork bone potato stew/gamja tang ($16.99) and spicy pollack stew/saengtae tang ($18.99) and each was filled to the brim with meat and veggies. But surprisingly, the highlight of the meal was the assortment of free side dishes that accompanied the food. We got 9 different types of banchan that showcased different flavors and textures of seasonal vegetables and seaweed.

One of the best spots in Queens for Korean duck KBBQ (duck in general). Their cold noodles are some of the best around as well (I personally like the seakomi mul naeng myeon 새콤이 물냉면)
