I’ve dined here before, about 3 years ago, and decided to revisit again. The food was okay.
One thing I feel the need to mention is their lack of transparency. When we received the bill, I was reminded of something I had completely forgotten from my past visit. if there’s a live band performing, they charge an additional $10 per person. That fee isn’t disclosed upfront like no signs, no verbal notice, nothing on the menu. While I understand supporting live entertainment, I believe customers should always be informed beforehand. It’s only fair.
Also, despite us being a party of two, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. We wouldn’t have known if we didn’t specifically ask for the breakdown. We were about to add a tip. In New York, it’s common for large groups (typically 6 or more) to be charged mandatory gratuity if it’s clearly stated. but for just two people and without prior notice? That felt off.
This review isn’t to bash the place, but to hopefully encourage them to be more transparent with their customers in the future. A little clarity goes a long way.

The ambiance is very nice but to be honest the food doesn’t taste good. The chicharon bulaklak and sisig is not crispy. The pork bbq is so sour. The garlic rice is mushy and sticky. The waitress keeps rushing us to order immediately while we are still checking what to get in the menu.

The restaurant wanted to charge us cover fees without notifying us. Then we saw many people commented about it and they are still doing it. There are no signs at the entrance and the waiter just decided not to tell/ask us. After we asked, they gave us a second receipt. If we were notified, we would be willingly paying for the cover. But it just appeared and we had no choice.
Pork belly kare-kare is good but the pinakbet is really bad.

It’s a long ride from the UWS. But it was worth it.
It’s as good as my mom’s. Actually, it’s better because tbh, my mom wasn’t into cooking.
Normally, when I’m missing home, I go to Renee’s but sometimes, ya need a drank or three before getting down to Lechon town.
Skip the squid on the stick, Buboy. You’re too old for Tik Tok and it’s mid. Save that stomach space for another pork entree.

If you're a Filipino looking for Filipino food and ambiance this is the place you've been looking for. The place is packed Friday and Saturday nights. There's an entrance fee on those nights.

This place has great vibes and their food is good! Their many has so much variety and we get to try something different every time we visit. I love this place especially when they have bands. New Agenda band is the best!

I experienced the Kamayan feast with some friends and it was AMAZING! Lots of meats/seafood to try and every single piece was delicious…WOW! We also got a chance to catch the karaoke night/live band which was also amazing! Excellent time all around. Highly recommend!

I don't know if this restaurant is justified, I called them the other day to complain but the person I talked to has extra charge padaw for gratuity ek ek pa but too much charge! The cover charge of $60 idk what for? And gratuity $53.31 OMG 😳 plus operating fee $13.53? Server even ask me to tip cash because the tip doesn't go to them when it comes thru card so we gave $49 cash tip since that's all cash we have. So all together $448.72 went to them. I hope it gets to the owner of this restaurant. 🙄
