Less than 10 minutes from LaGuardia. Great atmosphere, welcoming service, and aunthentic Filipino food. Their Beef Bulalo tastes just like my moms. Loved it!

There was no service only older man was ignoring me for almost 30mins he was busy talking to anoter filipino a woman. i was there with a friend suppose to be an early dinner and order for a party the next day in our medical office. So we left without eating
He did not even ask us why we are leaving without eating . I felt disrespected and humilated.

I had no warning that I'd find something this good here. I was surprised by how good everything tasted. The place offers something truly special. Every employee delivers outstanding service. If you welcome taste adventures, try this place.

The interior design enhances rather than distracts from the food. The establishment captures local essence. Good selection range and staff who know their job. The portions satisfy, the preparation impresses, and the taste delivers. Everyone in the area should try this high-quality spot.

The food here was good but overpriced in my opinion and I could overlook that if they had decent service. The staff was sitting on their phones the entire time or watching the karaoke, and didnât tell us that part of our meal would take longer. I wouldnât have minded if they simply told us that, instead of making us wait until we finished everything else. The music was extremely loud and I couldnât even hear the waitress when she was speaking. On top of that, they charge you 20% automatically and then expect you to tip again. I asked one of the waiters if they charged us already and he just stared at me wide eyed and nodded. Ihawan provides much better authentic Filipino food with better service, go there than wasting your time and money here.

The food was so good but there was a surprise cover charge added to my bill. I was really surprised that I wasnât told there was an extra charge when the waitress sat us down. I didnât notice any signage stating this, but even if there was, people donât always read it and reminders are always helpful.

Iâve dined here before, about 3 years ago, and decided to revisit again. The food was okay.
One thing I feel the need to mention is their lack of transparency. When we received the bill, I was reminded of something I had completely forgotten from my past visit. if thereâs a live band performing, they charge an additional $10 per person. That fee isnât disclosed upfront like no signs, no verbal notice, nothing on the menu. While I understand supporting live entertainment, I believe customers should always be informed beforehand. Itâs only fair.
Also, despite us being a party of two, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. We wouldnât have known if we didnât specifically ask for the breakdown. We were about to add a tip. In New York, itâs common for large groups (typically 6 or more) to be charged mandatory gratuity if itâs clearly stated. but for just two people and without prior notice? That felt off.
This review isnât to bash the place, but to hopefully encourage them to be more transparent with their customers in the future. A little clarity goes a long way.
Food is not worth the price or flavor. Save your money and time and go next door to Renee's.

The ambiance is very nice but to be honest the food doesnât taste good. The chicharon bulaklak and sisig is not crispy. The pork bbq is so sour. The garlic rice is mushy and sticky. The waitress keeps rushing us to order immediately while we are still checking what to get in the menu.
