We went for the Restaurant Week menu and the food was delicious. I will definitely go back.
Have been going there for years and have never had a bad meal. This time we took our friends and they absolutely loved it!!
For appetizer, I had the escargots: authentically prepared and served, excellent and flavorful, just as in France. For entree, I had the hanger steak (a/k/a onglet) which was flavorful, cooked perfectly to temperature, tender, and had good texture, served with a wonderful Béarnaise sauce. Ambiance: charming; pretty; nice; convivial Service: good; quick; responsive; and they let you and your party dine in peace and don't pester you every 5 minutes asking "how is everything?"
We had a wonderful Christmas celebration. One of our party had food allergies and the staff was helpful and accommodating. We will certainly return.
a hidden gem! French cuisine at its best. delicious, well presented. lovely atmosphere. just great
Hadn't been to La Baraka in years, so decided to return.. Overall was disappointed by the quality of the food. We chose the early prix fixe dinner and the menu was varied. My appetizer mussels were fishy tasting, although the garlic sauce was tasty.. my husbands pate was average. I had the trout almondine which was kind of tasteless . The duck l'orange wasn't crispy and sauce was underwhelming. Nevertheless,, the country French atmosphere and kind service still made for a nice evening. But I think it will be a long while till we choose to return again
We’ve been going to La Baraka for many years. I believe they just celebrated their 46 anniversary. The food is great and consistent. The prices are reasonable compared to other fine French restaurants. I don’t need to say anything else.

This used to be our go to place. Now, twice disappointed. French fries were obviously frozen and undercooked. Our water glasses were never refilled. I don't like oversalting....but undersalting...yuch. most of the food was tasteless.

We had a wonderful evening at La Baraka. Our 3 course dinner was exceptional and the service was delightful. I chose La Baraka for my birthday dinner because I knew it would be special and it did not disappoint.

The tweak on French dining with a dpicy Moraccan kick is a refreshing change from standard fare. A most enjoyable and delighful meal and tte twilight dining menu pricing is fantastic!
We hadn't eaten here in a while and had dinner with friends last night. Everything was superb. The food was 5 star as was the service. The quiche and lamb tagine was as good as I have ever eaten and my husband's lamb Kebob was excellent. Great atmosphere and great value.
Fantastic little French gem in Little Neck! I used to work in a French restaurant when I moved to NY’s East Village 20 yrs ago. This wonderful place brought back so many flooding memories upon first taste of the French Onion Soup.
Its original owner and daughter in law were there for lunch.
We spoke briefly and I know if I lived closer I’d become a regular.
Thank you for your beautiful smile and hospitality pumping a sea of new restauranteurs that don’t know the charm of an honest conversation to accompany great food. The front of the house is as important as the back. Thank you!!!
