Eh…I came here to escape the fumes of my bathroom which is being renovated. I think I rather be there right now.

This place is already famous for long wait for your food, but tonight is different. I wanted to order pork chop with black pepper sauce, but the black pepper sauce ran out. I wanted to order chicken wings, but the chicken wings ran out. I wanted to order red bean ice, but the ice machine broke. Finally, I got mixed grill spaghetti with tomato sauce and fried fish and fries. When the food came, the mixed grill spaghetti was just ok, not impressed, they gave me the fish and fries with ketchup, it supposed to come with tartar sauce, so I asked why, the waiter said tartar sauce ran out. I don't write reviews often, but tonight's experience probably will never be forgotten. One star is already too many.

Terrible experience!!! Was recommended by a friend, but I WON'T COME AGAIN! No food came for the first half hour. Finally came the one for my bro, and another half hour wait. Unbelievable!! What food can take an hour? Even the appetizers came after my complaints to the waiter. It's almost an hour past. Food was good. But service definitely 0 star!!!

I'm from HK, but I'm sure it's a whole different place from when I left it. HK style cafes are a slight variation from the Cantonese restaurants I'm used to in Chinatown, but many dishes are very similar. HK styles tend to be simpler and the venues generally more compact. On the other hand, LKF is a rather large sit down table service cafe, where you see a lot of HK's with order counters. My wife and I found ourselves wandering downtown Flushing and stopped for lunch, just before the noon rush. We wanted simple rice dishes on a hot day and washed them down with some cool iced HK teas. She saw Beef with Tomatoes on the menu and went with it. I went with the Beef Tenderloin w/ Black Pepper Sauce which was very tasty. They come with big mounds of white rice, which is perfect for me because I love to slather the sauce and rice. I could just eat rice and sauce for days. My wife couldn't finish all her rice, so more for me! We supplemented the meal with a Crispy Scallion Pancake (Crepe?). Even though it was deep fried, it was very light and flaky with good scallion flavor. Definitely get that again next time. I was disappointed that they did not have clay pot rice available, so that will have to be for another trip. Plus I wanted to sample the wonton noodle soups.

One of my family's favorite HK Style restaurants. Very close to home, free parking in the rear and the workers are very friendly. The food also tastes good every time we tried something new. Sometimes they can get very busy and will take awhile to get to you so you have to get their attention. Also they do run out of a lot of items during peak times. They have breakfast specials for a good price and comes with a drink or for an extra charge of $1 for some cold drinks. They have a section on the menu that is only Chinese, wished they had it in English so I can order from their instead of having to have it translated when I'm with my parents. Some items are only available to be ordered during certain times so check the menu before hand. You can always order on the phone for take out and coming in for pick up.

Great place to have breakfast and lunch by yourself or with a small group. LKF is a Hong Kong style diner with authentic dishes. Not as great as Hong Kong but a lot of the locals come here to eat. They have HK breakfast specials for $6 and noodle dishes for $14. The Singapore chow mei fun is pretty good and not spicy.

Lan Kwai Fong (LKF) is a famous area in Hong Kong for hawkers to gather and sell hot and cold food. LKF captures the taste and flavors of Hong Kong. The dishes are bold and seasoned to wake up your all your senses. If you can wait to have lunch a little later. They have daily specials that run between 2-5pm. So you can save a few dollars Notable dishes: 1. Chicken with black pepper sauce and spaghetti. The pepper has a nice kick and they use thigh meat . The pepper sauce is on the soupy side and I would have preferred a thicker consistency, but the flavor is banging on all cylinders. 2. Beef chow fun - The noodles perfectly seasoned with tender cuts of steak 3. Beef noodle soup with wonton - The beef tendon is moist and stewed soft and palatable. The wonton is perfect and tasty and the broth flavorful 4. Fried fish with cream of corn on rice - fish is moist and the creamy corn sauce is a perfect combination that works well 5. Sacha beef with rice - The Sacha sauce seasons the beef and vegetables for a delicious rice dish. Have some Hong Kong style tea to wash everything down. Parking is a bit of a challenge as parking spots on Roosevelt Ave is usually all taken, but you'll find parking near by. Definitely worth the trip in to try LKF. You will not be disappointed. Update 07/04/2021 - My Yelp Bud Amy M. informed me they have a few parking spots in the back of the restaurant. Thanks Amy.

Our first visit on Friday 6/4, our friends recommended this restaurant , for solid dinner service. For starters they have private rooms for big parties with a table big enough for 10ppl or if it's just 4, you can option for a regular table in a very well spaced dinning room. Since my brother in law, knows the menu very well, he ordered. We had glass noodles with tender sautéed beef, served in a clay pot. The noodles were so flavorful, the beef melts in your mouth and the sauce on the noodles was just enough to coat the noodles and give them a delicious bite. a whole steamed chicken with scallion & onions, clay pot with tofu and fish and their cantonese style sweet and sour pork with little dice of red peppers, pineapple and onions. We also had a soup as appetizer which, i didn't catch the name. However, the waiter was very friendly, attentive and quick to take care of every request we had. For dessert we had a Japanese cheesecake unlike no other, it was citrus scented with a hint of orange and while the cheesecake seemed dense it actually melts in your mouth. Truly an exceptional experience all together. For sure i am coming back to taste the rest of the menu.

Service is okay! Food is fried with basic flavors! Would go for brunch or a snack! The drinks are pretty good. We got the HK milk tea. Would go back if I have nowhere else to go

absolutely hard to find and parking is pretty difficult. a little remote from the other restaurants. Many of the food items were really good and did the job. I wouldn't compare it to a LKF cafe in HK, though but for NYC, this is a great spot. Please support all your local restaurants during this time - together we can get through this and help make it flourish. That way, we can continued to be satisfied by excellent food choices.

Good food, waiters on top of their game (when they were opened with dine in). Prices were cheap, decor is "Hong Kong " style if that's your thing. Great local spot for some quick easy modern Chinese food!
