My husband and I were in Jackson Heights today and initially chose a restaurant that, unfortunately, didn’t meet our expectations. We decided to leave and head home, a bit disappointed. On our walk back to the train, we stumbled upon Cafetales Grill and Restaurant—and what a find!
From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, with a delightful charm that immediately lifted our spirits. The music selection added such a fun, energetic vibe—it truly made the experience unforgettable. So glad we decided to stop in!

Love that it carries a full essence of Colombian spirit ambience. The sancho de gallina was so good that you can taste the wooden flavor that was the first deal breaker if it made my standard of approval. And let me tell you yes it did!. As a food enthusiast I share this with the staff and told them not to change it. The Galllina was very tender and maintain the savory season that was quite home made and not unnatural flavor. The staff is very polite and welcoming. Perfect 3 day weekend are great here with family or classmates!

Cafetales my favorite Colombian food restaurant. The attention is super and I love the food, I feel at home. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. Whenever I want a delicious bonus bread or my tray paisa I don't hesitate to stop by here. The owners are the best. Israel and Carolina have transformed this little corner and I feel closer to my beloved Colombia here.

Likewise, I regret not having been able to go again, to feel so kind and well cared for, because there, true service is provided. All staff preserve and present the quality and gift of people from all the great variety of our regions in Colombia. Space here is limited, and my words are short, to express how grateful and how recommendable it is to go to this restaurant. I don't put a rank, but it has my high marks in acceptance, taste and recommendation among many Colombian restaurants, and the rest of the Hispanics there in Queens. I wish there were more in every borough of NYC.
